Pass on the vortex ride, but hell yes on The Witcher! Dude, I was so happy with that show, and now I’m gonna have to rewatch. It was so well done – wait, is this the first time you’ve watched it? Because I could go on for DAYS but won’t so I don’t spoil anything.

Always pass on the vortex ride, nothing but a sick-go-around. Dude, definitely first time I’ve watched and I’ve only made it to episode 4 so please avoid spoilers, I’m thoroughly excited to see what comes next.

I’ve heard some headlines that make me feel a little unnerved, definitely. I’m glad it can help kids be able to express themselves and have fun, but these days, so many things that aren’t meant to be scary and dangerous end up being just that. Thankfully, their parents monitor what they’re doing to an extent to make sure it’s safe. At least when they’re still so young. 

I’m usually not a dancer. I mean, I do have the rhythm, but usually that rhythm is just the pace in which I awkwardly stand and tap and sway. Never had any dance instruction! I’ll definitely some luck!

The world is unfortunately a cruel place so anything meaning to be harmful ends up being just that, I just always hope for better outcomes and children to remain innocent so I’m glad some can keep that and enjoy themselves. Good for their parents, that’s definitely a relief to hear these days.  

I understand that rhythm because that’s the only rhythm I have as well, with a little bit of a head bob and I’m solid. Well I’ll be sending all my luck your way, Reagan, though I’m sure you’ll do absolutely fine, it seems like you have some good teachers on your side.

Of all the people Savannah could have bumped into, it had to be a cop. Just great, she thought, trying to keep any rude comments to herself. After all, it wasn’t like back in her high school days when she was getting into trouble and caught at parties, drinking underage. She felt his hands on her and instinctively shrugged at them, putting a bit more space between them as he let go. “Oh yeah, no I’m fine. Just gotta watch where I’m going, that’s all.” Her voice was stiff, but she tried to remind herself she didn’t do anything wrong and this was just an accidental run-in. “Yep, just off to play some games.” She nodded, looking toward dart game with the balloons.

Something was off but Brigley wasn’t going to question anything, chalking it up to her being embarrassed he offered a small smile. “ No worries, bright lights always throw people off, no one knows where they’re turning during the fair. “ he nodded as he wrapped his arms around his back and interlinked his hands together, “ Well enjoy your games, Ms. “ he said as he nodded his head in the direction of the games she was looking towards, “ Tell the next game you go to the first game is on Lieutenant Abrams. I have a handful of free games for working during the times of operations, so enjoy one on me and win something big.” Brigley let out a soft chuckle, he was always a sucker for the games even though majority of the time they were impossible to win.

Were the doggos dreamy this year?! I wanted to go check out the dog show for myself but sadly my evening was booked solid. One of my students is auditioning for the school orchestra and she’s been bugging me for extra sessions and by the time we were finished, well, so were the dogs.

They were definitely on point this year, always will be the stars of the show. I don’t think it’ll ever not be a hit at the fair. I guess sometimes there are more important things to take care of then watching a show, I’m sure there’s a video circulating around of how the performance went. Your student is very lucky to have you.

This should be a thing. Or anyone who does vomit after riding will be fined. Maybe that would deter some of the gamblers. I absolutely agree. We don’t at all deserve them, but I’m grateful we got lucky in that respect. That would be awesome! He’s a ham, so he’d totally love it. Maybe they need to have a play date.

Let me go ahead and get in contact with the head of the CDC to get this petition started and organized to be in the go for the next time the fair is around. We are for sure lucky, beyond lucky to have these animals in our life. Well my girl, Tonks, loves to play and run so if your Buddy ever wants a play date I’m sure Tonks would approve.

After making every shot at the basketball game, Leia turned around, throwing her arms up enthusiastically. “Woo! Let’s see someone do better than that - you can’t do better than that,” she said, trash talking no one specifically. She was getting looks from the people passing her by, some amused, others judgmental, but Leia paid no attention either way. When it came to this side of her, there was really no holding her back. “There’s no game I won’t kick ass at,” she continued, getting louder in hopes of finding someone to challenge her. “Someone buy me a funnel cake! This is my fair now!”

Brigley was apart of the group would were highly amused by Leia’s outburst of cockiness that she was reflecting, oh how it was to be young and full of life when it came to games at the fair, he quickly cleared his throat, “ How about you and I go one on one and loser buys the other a funnel cake? “ he raised an eyebrow with a smug grin on his face, he was always joining in with the community to keep close to everyone. Afterall he took a vow to keep the town safe and happy. Brigley pulled out a ten dollar bill and held it up, “ One round each, first one to five consecutive shots? “

Ugh, that’s the worst. Although, also to be expected. I think rides like that should only be for those that know they can hold their stuff down. Needs to be a requirement. Agreed with you about the dog show though– and dogs in general. I think next year I may have to enter my buddy.

That is one petition I will gladly sign and promote: Don’t Ride If You Can’t Handle The Consequences.  Dogs are too good for this life but I don’t think I’d want to know a world/life without them. I’ve never actually browsed on the app– something about me having an app made for younger kids and watching videos of them doing pretty much anything makes me feel a little creepy. But I did have to sit and listen to the girl watching videos for hours.. just some of the sounds and stories I was hearing made me laugh. 

That’s a good point! I guess I have to start preparing for my life of viral dance fame? I sure hope their parents go on dates more, at this rate.

I have witnessed far too many crimes come from that app and too many stories of bullying that I don’t think I’d get any enjoyment out of videos even if they were meant to be comedy. I didn’t even think about it being specifically for kids but that just makes my skin crawl. I can only imagine what they were watching and giggling about. I hope they enjoyed themselves and had a good time with whatever it was.

Much luck to you. I, myself, should never par-take in dancing so unfortunately I can’t offer any assistance in the dance world. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for their parents to continue to go on dates and root for your viral dance fame!

Nothing like a kid puking all of his fair food up after getting off the vortex ride that makes nearly everyone sick to end the night. Here I was looking forward to eating a funnel cake while watching some of The Witcher. Listen, I have always said this, dogs are better than majority of humans and that dog show was spot on, one of the time three things about the fair.

I was watching the kids who live down the hall from me last night while their parents went out on a date– to sum up the evening, I was begged to be in a TikTok video from the moment I walked in the door.

 If you all see me on your for you page, let me know that my road to fame has just started– kid’s pretty sure it’ll go viral because of how poorly I danced. In my defense, she barely gave me anytime to learn the choreography..I’m just honored it made her so happy! My hips hurt.

Savannah didn’t plan on finding herself at the fair by herself, but here she was, wandering the grounds and trying to decide what she wanted to do next. She was down by the area where all the games and rides were and found herself looking up at the ferris wheel. It was one of her least favorite rides, if only for the fact most of the time you’d look and see couples making out in the cars as they whirred around. Sav just shook her head as she made the decision to go play one of the games for some fun and when she turned around, she bumped into someone by accident. “Oh, whoa, sorry dude. That was totally my bad.”

Brigley would rather be enjoying a funnel cake or some fried food then making sure everyone was playing nicely around the fair, He, of course, loved his job more than life but there were moments he would rather be enjoying something else than be working. Luckily his shift was ending soon and he would be able to get some food to go, he was looking up at a ride, the screams of children and young adults echoed through the evening air as they enjoyed themselves, Brigley went to walk when another body came in contact with his, with instinct his hands went up to grasp gently at the other’s arms, his shoulders tensed slightly before the words filtered in his head and he relaxed, “ No worries, you’re okay though, right? “ he questioned as he let his hands fall and move to steady on his belt. “ Hope you’re enjoying yourself tonight. “ he added.

Summer was pretty excited for the fair, she loved hanging out with the various farm animals, chowing down on all the fried foods, going on the rides, and playing the games that she knew were most definitely rigged. But it was the kid in her that made her love doing all these things so much. She’d just been over at the milk bottle game, doing her best to try and knock all of the bottles down and was on her last ball. And with some stroke of luck, she pitched it and all three came crashing down. “Holy shit! I did it! That’s right, I’m the champion, I am the master!” She jumped up excitedly, grabbing the prize from the guy running the game. “Beat that!”

Brigley walked through the fair, his black slacks, blue button down fitting snug on his body while his belt held his holster and badge on his waist, he was content, he had spent the last few days in a low place, it was a rough time of the year but when it came to the Castlewood Fair he was happy, reminding him of all the fun times he endured when he was younger and before he left for the Marines when he was eighteen. Brigley laughed as Summer beamed with excitement over the game she beat, it was always luck of the draw with majority of fair games but sometime you had the luck of the draw and you beat the system. “ alright, let’s see you beat it twice.” he taunted with a smile.

There were only two weeks left before the new school year started and Ella was doing her best to make sure she’d spent some quality time with her daughter. As was tradition, she and Alice were walking around the fair, Ella letting Alice pick where to go next and what activity to do. Currently they were heading towards the animals, her daughter rushing just a little ahead of her as she lead the way. “Alice, honey slow down, remember mommy isn’t as young as she used to be.” Ella hollered a little out to her, just as they finally reached the goats.

It was Brigley’s favorite time of year, although he would personally never admit that out loud,  the fair was his favorite town event, it took him back to when he was a kid. Now he was patrolling the event he once ran wild through, the corner of his lips were curved into the smallest of smiles as he walked around, listening to banter and laughter as people ran past him to get to their favorite rides, games or food stands. He was walking through the games when he almost tripped over a kid running towards a load of animals, he chuckled softly when he saw Ella coming up behind her, “ Have you signed her up for rugby yet? She’ll be taking out grown adults in no time. “ Brigley joked lightheartedly.

One Positive Trait → Dedicated One Negative Trait → Unself-critical   Self-Proclaimed Anthem → Love Me Less by MAX & Quinn XCII Headcanon → Straight out of high school and as soon as his eighteenth birthday hit Brigley shipped off to basic training to become a Marine.  He endured thirteen weeks of hell before he graduated boot camp, it wasn’t long after Brigley was pinned as a Marine that he was shipped off with his battalion on his first deployment, it was a eight month deployment and all the while didn’t have much contact with his family or friends. When he got back he was different, he was hesitant in communicating and doing things with the people he once spent all of his time with. Everyone would ask him how he was doing and how he was handling being back in “civil territory” that it made him almost angry but he swallowed his pride and would just accept the questions and answer blankly.  Brigley spent spent nine years in the Marines, making his way to  Master Gunnery Sergeant; on his last deployment he and his platoon were on a search and recovery mission when they were ambushed, taking a bullet to the left side of his chest nearly missing his heart, three of his men died that day, Brigley was awarded a purple heart and was honorable discharged. He recovered in San Diego before flying back to Castlewood to adjust back to normal life. After rehab from the bullet wound and adjusting his life to what to him was the new norm, Brigley found himself being hired on at the local police department. He is community driven and has vowed to do what it takes to make sure people are safe, healthy and secure in the town of Castlewood.
