reblog to save a life
Fucking superb you funky little goblin
As someone who has worked in a professional haunted house, give me a second to give some quick reminders
Respect the fucking age minimum. If the recommended age is 18+ DO NOT BRING YOUR FUCKING CHILDREN TO THIS HAUNT! That age minimum is there for a reason. It’s not a silly “boo, your scared” haunt. If you bring your child, THEY WILL HAVE NIGHTMARES! THEY MIGHT NEED THERAPY! No, actors won’t “go easy” on kids if there’s an age minimum recommendation
Don’t come drunk or under the influence. Seriously, people are unpredictable when they get scared, they’re double that when under the influence of mind altering substances
Go through touch haunts AT YOUR OWN RISK. Touch haunts are places that can legally touch you (actors trip you, hit you, poke you, shove you, etc). Most actors at other haunts WILL get in your personal space, but not actually touch you.
Don’t get mad at actors for doing their jobs. Don’t kick, punch, shove, etc haunt actors for scaring your girlfriend or husband. You volunteered for this. You willingly walked into this experience
Seriously, don’t fucking touch actors. I know some peoples natural reaction to being scared is to punch. If you’re one of these people, DO NOT GO TO A HAUNT! You are putting THEIR livelihood at risk AND risking hospitalization
Don’t be afraid to tap out. Many haunted houses have a “safe word” or actor that acts as your guide in the haunted house. Don’t be afraid to tap out. We want you to have fun and be safe. Actors are NOT typically trained in any kind of mental health treatment (so they’re no use if you have a panic attack), and may or may not be CPR trained
Do not fucking touch the props. Seriously, haunts are expensive to put together and maintain
Lastly, don’t support mckamey manor. It is an unethical garbage heap of a “haunted house” that’s just torture porn for the owner who DOES NOT respect safe words and has endangered animals.
One of my favorite scenes from Letterkenny
This show hurts my brain
Can’t blame you, it’s like a shakespearian comedy about nothing, sped up, with the Middle English replaced by equally obfuscatory Albertan slang.
Excuse you that ain’t Albertan that’s the wrong coast. It’s Ontario slang.
DO YOU WANNA GET STRIKED
plankton built his computer wife so he’s also the one who programmed her personality. plankton made a wife who would belittle and mock him. plankton has a humiliation fetish
Sometimes we have thoughts but we don’t have to share them with everyone and put them out into the world. Just a suggestion.
Loooooooong

dude has an entire dang lynx hanging from his hands like the world’s furriest slinky and there’s people just staring at their computers instead
