SUMMARY:

It all started with that fucking sweater. Billie was happy for Samir. It'd been a while since he had an official girlfriend, and as far as she knew, he had never taken a trip with a girl before. This weekend upstate with Carly was big for Samir, and Billie was glad. Really, she was. As she got ready for Issa’s Bring-Your-Billie-to-Work day that morning, she noticed him checking his suitcase a few times, crossed paths with him while he fussed with his hair in the bathroom mirror. Then, he finally emerged from his room in that white cable knit sweater that, for some reason, Billie could not stop staring at. On the walk to the dance school, Billie couldn’t stop herself from bringing it up to Issa. “It was a sweater, Billie,” Issa shrugged. “He looked like that guy in When Harry Met Sally.” “You mean Harry?” “Right, whatever.” Issa pulled open the glass door for Billie. It was, in fact, just a sweater. And Billie put it out of her head for the day. And for a while after that. Until one morning, a week or two later, when he rushed out of the house past her and left her in a cloud of his new cologne. She stood at the bottom of the staircase, a little dumbfounded. Fuck.​​​

Your Samir cat fic is so good! I really liked it! I loved the spiral in Samir’s head of who will stay in the house and comitt to the kitten LOL.

Also, the part where Billie used to refuse to go into Samirs room because it smelt too much like milk because Samir loved chugging milk… is that a refrence to Lucy and Malik?

She has a photo on her ig of Malik drinking milk and him commenting about how milk is so in and she responds with it’s always been in or something like that. I think she also captioned it being like “are we getting enough milk?” I have an adult friend who LOVES milk and we joke with him about it + It just seemed like a funny inside joke between them so it stuck in my brain 💀 ( not trying to be too parasocial but they are so cute! I have too many thoughts to share about them 👀)

THE REST OF THIS HAS SENT ME INTO A SPIRAL because I didn’t even THINK about this whatsoever I genuinely was referencing how my childhood friends hated ever going past my little brothers room because it Reeked of milk (he would leave milk cups in his room) (it was sick and twisted) and now I remember Exactly what you’re talking about so I’m thinking wait did I subconsciously do this. am I secretly a genius. Is my brain a rolodex of malik/lucy moments without even realizing it. you’re saying to just overlook this and I say lets do the opposite lets DISSECT this

anyway. two more comments from me: 1. can I Join you and your other friend can we be a trio like I said my brother is a Milk Fiend so I can relate to making fun of little milk freaks and 2. malik/lucy rpf is allowed here idc if it makes me a bad person sometimes people should date regardless of if they actually are or not thats my TRUTH
