Today in Britney History: June 4 💙
1999: Britney performed at the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford for the Zootopia charity concert organized by Z100. The set list was (You Drive Me) Crazy, Sometimes, Born to Make You Happy, I Will Be There and ...Baby One More Time.
While the show was professionally shot and livestreamed, it was not preserved and appears to be lost. A bootleg recording and has survived.
Today in Britney History: June 3
On June 3, 2017: Britney kicked off her first Asian tour, Britney: Live in Concert, in Tokyo. It was her first worldwide tour since 2011. The tour marked her first performances in Israel, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and Hong Kong. The tour also visited Japan, South Korea, and Singapore. The show was largely the same as Britney's Piece of Me residency.
The last show, which was in Tel Aviv, coincided with Labour Party's primary election, which caused the election to be delayed to the next day due to concerns regarding traffic congestion. With an attendance of 55,000, Britney became the second female musician with the biggest attendance in Israel of all time, only surpassed by Madonna, and the third artist overall, with Michael Jackson being at the top of the list.
