thanks for still being interested, it's been so long!!

I got uncomfortable posting other people's work, even if it was with credit, it was still without their permission, so i'm not sure if i'd ever regularly post again like i used to - i'll keep the page up, i love to see some posts still making the rounds - i might reblog a few things every now and then if people are still around

yep, born and raised, no one in my family actually speaks english so it's all down to studying and lots of british tv. also im an english major at uni now so that helps

nooo it didn't sound like internet 101!! i do search flickr but all the images are non downloadable! wah. maybe i'll try and reblog them or something and see if that gets me a saveable picture. thank you very much for your help! :) x

*whispers* there’s no such thing as non-downloadable but you have to do this behind closed doors when no one’s watching because it’s nasty.

if flickr doesn’t let you download something because ‘the owner has disabled it’ (like here), then right click on the photo -> save as…, and what you can now download is the entire webpage in a folder which contains a lot of weird stuff and the photo itself so that’s about how safe flickr is. 

if for some reason it doesn’t work, you can still get the url of the photo out of the html of the page which sounds bonkers but it’s ridiculously simple and I feel so sorry for the poor souls who think their stuff is safe online because it isn’t. again right click on the photo -> view page source, which takes you to the html of the site. press ctrl (or command on mac) + F which gets your search thingy out, and search for jpg. you should get 2 results, jump to the second one, which is gonna be a link, click on that and it opens the photo in a new window which is now as downloadable as it gets.

also make sure you click on the right size of the photo before you do either of this. 

and you didn’t hear any of this from me *pulls hat over eye and exits through the back door*

ps: if anyone reading this gets inspired to start stealing other people’s artwork just because you can then you are a horrible person and you should be ashamed of yourself. also I’m gonna find you and eat the last page of all your unread books *eszter out*
