An experienced educator, Britton Devier serves as high school distance-learning instructor at Lee County Schools. He also leads at Smiths Station High School as head junior-high wrestling coach and as offensive coordinator for the school's football team, in which role he has introduced a new offense. Britton Devier comes to this position having achieved similar success as head football coach with Ohio's Woodmore High School, where he led the team to its first winning record in a decade. During his tenure at Woodmore, Britton Devier focused on player development, instituting an individual mentoring program, a leadership seminar, and new training initiatives targeting agility, speed, and strength. Under his helm, the team set 38 school records. Concurrently, Mr. Devier served as technology educator for the Woodmore district's junior and senior high schools. There, he taught a self-developed course in engineering design and encouraged students to explore new possibilities through technology. Britton Devier holds a bachelor of science in technology education from Bowling Green State University and a master of science in technology education from Illinois State University. He anticipates receipt of his doctorate in educational leadership in 2017.

Holding a master of science in technology education from Illinois State University, Britton Devier expects to receive his doctor of education from Liberty University in educational leadership in the spring of 2017. The association recently hosted its ITEEA 2016 Conference in Washington, DC. The three-day event’s theme was Collaborating to Build a Diverse STEM-Literate Society. STEM curricula focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Attendees enjoyed networking with peers and participating in programs, such as the teacher excellence general session led by Andre Thornton of Lockheed Martin. The session discussed STEM innovations and the need for business and social skills development. The event also gave the association an opportunity to recognize influential individuals shaping the future of education.
