jasmine: so like...what would happen if i just, like, downed seven five-hour energies. does that equal 35 hours of energy??

jasmine: brb, descending into hell!

reece: are you serious?

reece: i'm entirely sure it's the opposite of what that means.

reece: and only half concerned that we should take you to get your stomach pumped.

“I am actually really excited because I got a call back from Space Camp saying I could totally come but now I don’t know if I should go through with it. And if I do would you like to come with? Plus I might have to go down there for a job who knows this could be fate”

“You can really apply to go to Space Camp? You should totally go through with it, that’s like a once in a lifetime experience. You’re allowed to take guests? What--um yes I want to come. I’m entirely sure it’s fate now--what job is it?”

It had been a rough day for the girl, too rough of a day that by this point all she wanted was to get into some comfy clothes and lay in bed for the rest of eternity. Luck just never was on her side, as she stepped into her room she pulled the towel closely around her, “uh, is there an exact reason as to why you’re here?” she questioned her voice slightly hoarse.

“Because I wanted to hang and your room was the first one that I came upon.” He told her as he sat up slightly in her chair and put his arms behind his head, “Come on Is, we can do something super fun...plus I have to make sure that you keep up our Snapchat streak.”

“I didn’t break in here so I can chat and stand still, looking pretty. I’m going to go in and enjoy a swim. Are you going to join, or just stand there looking like a bitch?”

“Standing here like a bitch sounds like the best possible plan.” Reece said as he shook his head, “I’m only going to join if you race me.”

duhchasity:

“Yeah, people of New York should learn to clean after themselves, but I don’t think it’ll happen anytime soon.” she says before turning to face him. “You grew up here and still isn’t used to the weather? Did you stay inside a lot or something?”

“Definitely won’t be happening any time soon. But I guess snow isn’t supposed to stay white forever.” He said as he looked over at the piles of snow that were beginning to stack up as the people were shoveling them off the sidewalks. “I don’t really know why I’m not used to it. When I was little, I practically spent all my time outside and then I guess when I turned seven, I spent a lot more time inside, but I wasn’t a shut-in or anything. Guess I just don’t like the cold.”

nixmclynn:

“i have loads of useless facts, if you only knew.” he chuckled. “i just promise you that they aren’t worth talking about anymore though.” he reassured the boy.

“Not worth talking about at all? Well fine, just keep them up in your head then.” He shook his head as he looked around. “What are we supposed to talk about now?”

“I’m sure that could never happen, you annoy me sometimes but I’d never want to stop hanging out with you.” She smiled shaking her head, “at least thirty, goals right there.” She laughed lightly looking away from him, “what I’ve never been to New York and with my luck I’d get lost.” She shook her head looking back at him, “good.”

“Never? That’s good to know--Here I was thinking that you totally hated me.” He laughed before nodding, “Um yeah, I mean at least if I die at like 30 I don’t need to have a midlife crisis with a red sports car.” He smirked before shaking his head. “It’s cute though--I mean, it’s kind of hard to get lost in New York, no matter what the movies say. Because you have a bunch of big landmarks to look for.” He said before laughed, “It’s a date.”

“yeah i have always thought they were pretty cool.” nixon explained. “there is a website that has them all numbered so if you ever wanted to know you could just look up on the snapple website.” he laughed.

“seriously? then I don’t even need to buy them. I can just go to the website, print them out and start putting them on whatever various other things I want to consume and learn a cool fact for it. Do you remember any other interesting ones?”

“The snow isn’t too bad though.. but I agree it’ll be way better if it was warmer.”

“It’s not bad, it’s just ugly with all the debris from the city making it all gross-looking. Yeah, you would think growing up in New York I’d be used to the cold but nope, it just gets worse every year.”

“Oh can’t have that happening, the world would come to an end the day you bore me.” She teased shaking her head before putting her hand over her chest, “oh thank god, I was worried there for a second. I was so close to slapping you in the back of the head.” She smiled innocently before shrugging, “no I haven’t, I didn’t want to get lost so never went by myself. Then that’s what we’ll do when we skip class.” She laughed before nodding, “good. I trust you.”

“It totally would. Like I can’t imagine a world where I made you so bored that you no longer wanted to hang out with me.” He shook his head, “I’m not totally crazy Will--I’d like to at least live until I’m 30.” He raised his eyebrow, “Never wanted to get lost? That’s actually really cute.” He laughed slightly before nodding, “Good, then I won’t steer you wrong.”

She shook her head, “I think it’ll get you everywhere with me. Unless I get used to the charm because then I don’t know if it will.” She teased lightly with a soft smile. She nodded shrugging, “swimming with sharks? Like when you’re in a cage right?” Her eyes went wide for a second before she shrugged once more, “I don’t know, I haven’t really seen the city since being here so I really don’t know.” She shook her head, “you could lead me anywhere and I’m sure I’d follow. Unless it was down a creepy alley then nope you’re on your own there.”

Reece smiled at her, “Then looks like I’ll need to keep the flattery but also switch it up so you don’t get bored of me.” He said before nodding, “Yeah, with the cage. I don’t know if I could get into open water with sharks just swimming next to me.” He raised his eyebrow, “You haven’t been around the city? Then it definitely needs to sound like I need to take you around.” He shook his head, “No worries--no creepy alleys, promise.”

“I told myself that I would give it a year here in the city at NYU, and if I didn’t like it I would move back to the Rez and go to St. Regis’ Higher Education again. Now the school year is half way over and I still don’t know if I’m doing to be moving again by the end of the semester. I really need to get my shit together.”

“Sounds like you need a pros and cons list. As stupid as it sounds, it might actually help in this situation. Here--just start with naming one thing you can do here at NYU that you can’t do there..”

Inhaling deeply, she glances up at the sky and smiles softly. “Nature’s just so beautiful, I wish I had my camera on me.”

“It’d be prettier if there wasn’t snow everywhere. And it wasn’t bitterly cold.”

She smiled brightly going to speak but no words came out as she shook her head looking down, “anyone ever tell you flattery will get you everywhere?” She said looking back up at him as she shook her head, “I mean it’s exciting but not really daring after doing it so many time.” She laughed a bit before nodding, “start small then go for the out there, cause I don’t know if I could handle you’re out there.” She shook her head before nodding, “if this kills me it’s your fault. But let’s skip class one day only though, whenever we do the day will be ours.”

Reece laughed, “It might have been told to me once or twice. Although most times I find that flattery totally doesn’t work so I’m pretty sure they lie to me all the time about it.” He shook his head before looking at her, “I guess you’ve got a point.” He shrugged, “Depends--I mean swimming with sharks just seems like a pretty cool thing to do.” he laughed before shaking his head, “It won’t kill you. We’ll pick an easy day too--like one where you only have one class and there is nothing due that day. A day for just us--where would you wanna go? Because you can’t play hooky and do nothing.”

Her smile grew wider as the man continued, glancing down at her apron he shortly mentioned. “- oh, I’m just used to it, I guess. I’ve been working here for almost a year.” she explained with a small shrug, placing her hands on her waist. “Thank you again, you’re very kind.” she told the boy with a golden smile, before leaning more forward to take his order. “What are you having?”

Reece nodded, “A whole year? That’s a pretty good record. I had this job on campus in a filing room and they totally told me not to reapply for the next semester--so they must really like you.” He said as he looked around before nodding against at her thanks. “Uh--probably some Macaroni and Cheese, you can get that here, right?” He asked before biting down on his lip. “And a coke--” He laughed.

“no, they are called real facts. not truth and false facts.” the male pointed out. “but it really are real things.” he went on. “i am just thankful we don’t breath or move like them.. could you imagine.”

“well now I understand why people keep them in collections. They’re like little tiny encyclopedias. There should probably be a class on just learning facts from Snapple caps.” He laughed before making a face, “True--although I can’t tell if that would be more hilarious or totally terrifying. It might be funny, as long as you weren’t doing it.”

“I can make it very difficult for you don’t tell me not to make it easy.” She teased with a small glint in her eyes as she looked at him a small playing at her lips. She shook her head, “Reece, babe… I’m from Australia ive cliff dived before it’s not really exciting.” She laughed before making a face, “that’s your idea of daring? But yes I am the go to class everyday type, unless I’m sick…” she bit her lip as she realized how goody she sounded, “but if we’re taking small steps then skipping a class is where we begin?”

“You can make it as difficult as you want Will. That just means I have to prove myself that much more.” He smirked as he looked at her, “And I totally will---especially for you affections.” He said as he lowered his shoulder, “It’s not? Well then they need to start making it more exciting because it totally sounds exciting.” He said before shrugging, “It’s my idea of daring that’s not totally out there. We have to start small---” He looked over her as he smiled a little bit, “Don’t worry. I go every day too unless I’m sick--mostly because my mom would kick my ass if I didn’t.” He nodded as he shrugged, “I’d say it’s a good step. We can at least try it and see how we can progress from there.”
