another reason why --; [treatment .o9]
You will always be a defect.
When she had awoke, the change of the hospital hit her. Though others may see it as something small, especially those that were unfamiliar and still new to this cruel 'hospital', Lily had already knew something -- and also, someone -- was missing.
Was there an announcement? She couldn't hear it. Maybe she slept through it. Like she did the rest. Like how she stayed, shivering and shaking in her bed, still in shock of the precious experiment. Still unable to believe that her hands had done so much damage, that had gone so far as to kill a human. Just because she was in that state of a beast.
Raising up from her bed, placing her feet onto her bed, she had first ignored of how she couldn't hear the constant creack of the bed in every move she made. It was an old bed to begin with, couldn't blame them, it was still a surprise to her that she was given a bed at all.
Stepping out into the hallway, that's when it hit her.
At first, the young girl had thought of it as nothing. But then she realized that the sound of the door closing behind her was unable to be heard.
So she turned, opening and closing it again.
Nothing.
Her mouth ws dry. Her stomach turned. As her lips trembled in her first attempt to speak for the first time ever since the dog had been released, since she had pleaded for forgiveness by the brother's that she would never see again -- and for the rest of the residents of the hospital as well.
"You're not bad, Lily..."
Something that reminded her of a friend.
A friend that escaped from the clutches of this cruel hospital, with it's twisted doctors that continued their harsh 'treatments'. Her first friend, and best friend, since she had finally stumbled upon the outside world and was able to live a life no longer underground.
Where she could see real flowers.
Yet she heard nothing. She couldn't hear her voice. With this proof, it was more than obvious that this treatment had taken any use of her hearing.
She had became deaf. Unable to hear the people around her, the young girl simply looked down as she wished for the help of her friend, the man that was able to make her feel even the least bit human in this place.
"Um...."
Fortunately she was lucky enough to still speak and see. Yet her tone had changed much with just the few words, and able to feel the constant change in the back of her throat. Hands trembling. Eyes scanning as she now had to find someone to help her, Lily called out,
"Can someone help me? I can't.... I can't hear anything."
