I really hate that concept that always circles around that ‘love never gives up’ or ‘if they loved you they would have always stayed.’ Like, if you’ve ever been in love then you know that isn’t how it works. Sometimes love is just not enough, sometimes love grows and changes and you don’t recognize it anymore and sometimes you have to walk away from it. Sometimes love just is not enough and sometimes love is too much and you need to let it go. You can love someone and not be good for them. You can love someone and hinder their growth. You can love someone and still need more. You can love someone and deserve better. You can love someone and leave and still call it love. Sometimes staying is not love.
