I haven’t read the books but my Game of Thrones theory is that its going to end with a battle to the death between Daenerys and Sansa (or in the unlikely event that we’re lucky, the two of them teaming up). At first it was just a nice thought, like wouldn’t it be cool if my 2 favourites for the throne got together in some way. But the more I think about it the more it makes sense. They have both been living these sort of parallels. Both girls with brothers, the only thing expected of them is that they would marry a Prince/King for the political gain of their families. They began both under the protection of their families but for Sansa that was freedom and for Dany imprisonment. Since the end of season 1 Dany has been becoming more and more free while Sansa has been losing her freedom more and more, up until the end of season 5 when Sansa finally jumped to her freedom, while Dany was captured. They both have this incredible grace and are the only ones that seem like good leaders. I just really see the show ending with those two.

Ahhh so I happened to watch Pocahontas again for the first time since a million years and it suddenly seemed obvious to me re-watching it that poor Nakoma is completely smitten with Pocahontas… And no one can convince me otherwise that they didn’t kiss under the upturned canoe, so this picture. : 3

(Half-way through doing this I realized that Pocahontas didn’t have the necklace on during this scene but um, maybe after she got it they went back and kissed again?)

And why is there practically zero fic of Nakoma/Pocahontas? ;__; I only ever found two fills… Internet! You’ve let me down.

It just occurred to me, as I’m going through the Harry Potter books again, that whenever Harry has visions through Voldemorts eyes that he always, every single time, distinguishes between himself and Voldemort with the mention of “a white hand held a wand which was not his own”, or something to the effect of describing Voldemorts whiteness. While I’ve always taken this as a comment on how Voldemort is inhumanly, disgustingly pale, It occurred to me that a dark-skinned Harry Potter WOULD notice the stark, shocking difference in hands every single time without fail.

804.  After the war when the Slytherins were locked in the dungeons and heavily distrusted due to their house, Hogwarts finally decides that something must be done about the harmful stereotypes. During the start of the year feast at the next school year, an emphasis is put on the fact that your house does not determine your character - Slytherins can be kind, not all Ravenclaw's are rude know-it-alls, not every Gryffindor is stupidly brave, not every Hufflepuff is a push-over, etc. During the year, each student is paired with a student of a different house and must compare and contrast each other from their house stereotypes to prove that the stereotypes are not always accurate. In the weeks following this assignment, the staff begins to notice that more and more students are sitting with students of other houses during meals, and the groups of students relaxing out on the grounds are no longer segregated by the color of their ties.
