“ the catwalk has its cons as well, y’know ? my back hurts like crazy, so i’m hoping you’re good at giving massages ? ” the brunette said, in hopes of drawing a positive response from the person standing before her as she offered a gentle grin.
“ come on, are you really going to spend all night working ? ” she queried, a frown carved across her face with a soft shrug. “ you’re no fun. ” the girl pouted, crossing her arms over her chest.
wanted plot – you’re my roommate’s ex-girlfriend taking back the rest of your shit while he’s gone for the weekend, and i’m the asshole roommate that never got over the fact that i’d called ‘dibs’ first
“—hey. i was doing just fine before i met you, i drank too much and that’s an issue, but i’m ok—” he’d been doing that stupid thing, pantomiming the lyrics of the song as it blared in the background while he recorded a new snapchat story as a distraction from finishing the work on his laptop. though he attributed it to boredom, declan also knew that he looked good on camera, and couldn’t resist baiting a few girls with a catchy song, either. what hadn’t counted on, though, was the sound of someone walking down the hallway towards his room, and setting his phone down on his desk to see his roommate’s ex-girlfriend. “–if you’re here to yell at him, he isn’t here, babe. he went to visit family for the weekend.”
she heard a voice coming from the room, but decided it was best not to comment on it. nikki stood there for a moment, a chuckle falling from her lips. “ no, i’m not here for the asshole. he told me he would be away for the weekend, so i thought i’d come get my stuff. left quite a lot behind, y’know. ” with a soft shrug, those words rolled off her tongue quickly. “ this has got to be the best weekend for you. you’ve got the whole place to yourself & you don’t have to listen to him for two days. ” the girl replied, her lips curving into a gentle grin.
He liked being around this younger girl very much, and it only seemed as if she did too. “Hm, that sounds like a marvellous idea,” he said in his trademark accent as his hand flowed over her hip slowly, a smirk appearing on his face for a short moment before vanishing so as to not show the other present there what they were up to. “Lead the way,” he said softly, his arm loosening around her so that she could walk where she wanted to.
She was done messing with little boys, all she was looking for was someone more experienced and mature whom she had found in the figure standing before her. Taking his hand, she led the way into a room, before turning to lock the door behind her. “That’s more like it.” She whispered, crossing arms over her chest as she arched a brow.
The girl bit his ear softly, a chuckle falling from her lips as she did so. “I know this place pretty well, could find us a more ... private room to continue our conversation.” She added, a gentle smirk carved across her lips as she glanced over at him.
Just thinking back to when he was younger and living in the little two bedroom place, almost made him sick to his stomach. It was in those years that so many things had happened to Trevor. He met his first love, had his first kiss, graduated high school, started drinking. Never in a million years did he ever think that he would be looking back at this house, almost like it was some kind of shrine to something that he wished he had back. But hearing the words snapped him out of his thoughts and eyes looked over at the girl. “Oh yeah. Its crazy how they can let things just run down like this. Like not even thinking about if it was someones memories in there or something.” The last few years of his parents being happy and being together were in that house and now here it was, caution taped off, standing all alone, just falling apart. Goosebumps ran up his tattooed arm as his eyes studied carefully on the house.
Sometimes she wished the house she grew up with didn’t even exist anymore. Somehow it made her feel guilty for leaving everything back, as if this was all her fault. “Maybe it could help you with ... closure. If someone who reminds you of the past still lived her, you’d feel attached to this place.” She said, shrugging softly, a soft sigh escaping her lips. Once she used to find happiness in that town, everything was normal and then the car crash. It was one of the things she thought would never happen to her family, she was completely destroyed. Crying every day wouldn’t solve her problems, she was only a kid with no money of her own. “So, y’used to live here, huh?” The girl queried, raising an eyebrow.
