Her eyes reflected the dreams of tomorrow
Trapped in yesterday’s pain and sorrow
He had crushed her soul with his every touch
She was a child could not understand much
All she knew that it felt wrong
But she couldn’t say anything as he was strong
Once, twice, thrice then everyday
She cried in pain but he was here to play
She told her mother that there was something she wished to say
But remained quite, he was her stepfather anyway
She was growing up in feeling disgust in her body
Eveyday he touched her and shook her like Noddy
In the dark room at night she would sit and cry
Wishing it could end, or she could die
She slowly closed herself in her own dark world
Cry all night, regretting being a girl
One day she finally confessed it to her mother
She slapped her on one cheek and then on other
Her mother did not believe her at all
As she thought to her father she was always a baby doll
Her mother did not believe a word she said
Until the next day she found her dead
There she day bleeding on the floor
“Sorry, I could not bear it anymore”
Was written on those walls who saw her in pain
Who saw her each night going insane
Those were the walls who comforted her every night
The same walls now told her to sleep tight.
