He tried to sleep off the throbbing pain, but it was clearly not working very well with all that noise right outside his room - or at least he thought it was outside his room. His hearing was also disfunctioning because of the burn. … yet he could clearly distinct the voice of Cavallone from that crowd right outside his door. What was he doing here? He was truly a fool if he came because he was worried… they were affiliated but that’s all their relationship was.
He slowly peeked his good eye open, half of his face was wrapped in bandages with sun flames engulfed around the area attempting to heal the flesh. The first thing that he saw was the panicked face of Cavallone, and he had to wonder, once again… why?
“… Why are you here?” His voice was raspy since some of the damage got to his neck and throat. Honestly the doctors surrounding him were all amazed Alaude could stay conscious through so much pain, and the blonde himself was amazed no one could stop this stupid horse from storming into his room. “I’m fine.” Clearly he was not fine. “You shouldn’t be allowed in here… “ Why did he look so worried? He was fine…
With a soft thud, Alaude fell down onto the bed again and peeked at the other tiredly with his one good eye. “I’m fine.” He said stubbornly.
[ ♚ ] Cavallone knew the fact that probably seeing Alaude was going to suppose something that would become his mood even worse than when he was informed about Vongola's sun guardian being hurt. Not only because there was a lack of information about what happened also because that mean Alaude would be severely injured. And then he was there. Even looking more concerned about Alaude than before... But not regretting it because Primo wanted to see him with his own eyes and not being informed by third parties.
[ ♚ ] Cavallone shook his head sightly. “You're not fine. Stop repeating that.” He knew so badly that the blonde was someone strong. Probably one of the strongest man he had ever seen and that's why in his head couldn't process what happened to end like that. He'd been in battle with Alaude, they were affiliates, after all, and mostly of the times Vongola's guardian ended with stupid and insignificant wounds but this time... Alaude was there wrapped in bandages and looking like something important happened.
[ ♚ ] “Y-yeah... They didn't allow me to be here but I guess they couldn't stop me”. It would be stupid admit a silly lie like Primo Vongola would allow him to enter because he wanted. It was kind of logical that Alaude needed to rest and that Vongola subordinates also needed time to find out what happened but Callavone was not the kind of man that would just wait until he received news. He was highly worried not only because they were affiliates and had been in battles together, but rather he has stronger feelings for the blonde. Feelings that he would hide all his life because it was wrong to be attracted to another man and also because Alaude would kill him if he realized. “No one could tell me anything so....” Primo wanted to find a useful excuse for that situation but he couldn't and his voice sounding like he was going to break at any time was not helping.

He hated, that he knew exactly what he was staring at. If the Italian filling his ears wasn’t enough to tip him off, then simply the word Alaude confirmed it. This man who already looked displaced in time by his clothes had to be the first Cavallone boss; and the prefect felt the unmistakable anger starting to creep up his neck.
He hated that he understood the man, a language he learned only out of spite for how often he had to hear it, and how often he felt like some sort of useless lump as that bastard horse did everything for him… He had seen his own ‘predecessor’ before thanks to the technology that existed capable of pulling people through time and yet he had never once considered that this man of course had to exist … Or that he too might hold a relationship with the former Cloud guardian.
He wasn’t sure why it pissed him off so much, perhaps that it simply meant his own bond to the Cavallone tenth wasn’t of his own choosing, that it was some prewritten part of ‘fate’ and the very notion of such a thing made him all the more furious at the man standing before him for daring to think he had a say in Kyouya’s life.
“… I will stare at whoever I want to stare at” He snapped back, his Italian flawless despite the slight accent falling off his words. “Don’t compare me to that old bastard”
[ ♚ ] Even if the kid told him not to compare both of them, Cavallone find really amusing how both of them really looked and acted similar. Primo had meet Alaude when the blonde was already a Vongola guardian but he had heard that as a teenager didn’t had so many self-control and picked fights with everyone. The few seconds he had to analyze that Japanese kid in front of him... Cavallone realized that maybe fate probably could exist. Both of them were pretty similar even if probably both of them would deny that. He begin to be curious about how 10th Cavallone would be.
[ ♚ ] Primo tried to remain serious but since he was finding the whole situation pretty funny he couldn’t stop a slight smile appearing on his face. “Oh? You’d already met Alaude? That means that you’re Vongola’s cloud guardian of this time.” He appreciated the fact that the kid could speak Italian even if it was with that strange Japanese accent. Not that Cavallone could completely understand the other if he talked in his language, he was more a man of European languages instead. He laughed a bit by the kid’s words and then poked the younger one forehead, continue pointing him with his finger before that. “You’re the one who looks like a kid. You probably are a teenager, huh?”

He had to admit it was careless of him to let his guard down. It only took a second, nothing more and nothing less for him to realize the burning pain across the left side of his face and that the sudden darkness wasn’t due to a physical blow. It was not damage upon impact… It was an impure flame, twisted and dark power in liquid form mixed with sulfuric acid thrown at him. It was low, even for the Segugio famiglia to attack the man that spared their sorry lives a second earlier with that. Alaude could easily destroy their entire organisation within the day, but he spared their lives and let his guard down because they were weak.
The acid mixed in with that corrupted flame of shadow nature caused his skin and flesh to burn. He could smell it… burnt flesh, chemicals… and destruction.
Alaude pressed himself against the red bricked wall quickly after the glass vial exploded against his face and covered the twisted half of his features with a gloved hand, the silvery cuffs spread from his ring to surround whomever remained at the crime scene to prevent the cowards from leaving. He pulled out the Vongola signal flare to send that distress signal and that was the last thing he remembered before passing out in pain.
It was a far worse pain than he had experienced before, worse than walking 10 miles through the desert with broken ribs and bullet wounds, worse than his first stitches in battlefield that he performed on himself… it was burn mixed with itchy pain, poison throbbing from his face and his eyes to the rest of his body. He could hear people talk and discuss his condition from the bed he was laid on. He knew exactly where he was, back in the mansion in his private chambers. If he wasn’t too tired to speak he would tell them all to leave and stop crowding around him. He could hear faint muttering as he passed out for the second time:
“… unclear what caused this…”
“We need to investigate….”
“… might never fully recover…”
[ ♚ ] Primo couldn't believe what his man were telling to him. His skin was pale but it was paler in that moment, his face looked like he was sick and Cavallone's mind went completely blank for a few seconds. Alaude was human, of course. Vongola's cloud guardian was incredibly strong, the first that that Cavallone had saw him during a battle he thought that he was like a monster... it gave him the feeling that the blond could defeat anyone. But one of the things that Cavallone knew for sure was that Alaude was human after all, Primo had been interested in him for a while even if he really didn't expected anything to change between them. Not only because his famiglia was his first and more important priority, also because he was almost sure that Alaude would kill him if he realized the true nature of his feelings. But when that notice arrived to Cavallone, he was truly scared. It was not the first time that Alaude was being hurt in a battle... but this time was more serious.
[ ♚ ] Sure he had planned things to do in that moment but he was a selfish boss. He was a Cavallone and not a Vongola, Primo had any right to be at the Vongola's mansion or visit Alaude but even if it was the most stupid idea in the world... He could consider Alaude as part of his famiglia too, not just an ally or a battle comrade. He had more information when he arrived at the mansion: not relevant data about what happened there but severe damage and wounds were result of it. 'You can't see him right now!' and similar quotes by Vongola members weren't going to stop Primo to enter at Alaude's chamber. He was that kind of stupid and impulsive man when he had an idea in mind, he didn't care that Giotto would really became angry for his actions there. He opened the door, being really scared that Cavallone would confirm what everyone told to him. “Alaude...? What happened?”

Hibari Kyouya, hated crowding.
He never considered it a complicated thing to grasp, it was suffocating being around so many people at one time. The disorder, the anarchy, the blatant disregard of any sort of order… All of it had the prefect gritting his teeth as his fingers twitched to where he kept a pair of solid metal tonfa tucked away. Perhaps the complication came from his way of handling crowds; preferring to start a physical altercation and clear the area rather than just leave. Why would he leave? If he chose to be somewhere at a certain time then he wanted to be there, he didn’t give a damn what the mindless herds of useless herbivores around him wanted to do. If he wanted an entire park or store to himself, so help he he always got what he wanted… Luckily his reputation often preceded him and paths cleared simply by his presence before he had to utter a threat or pull a weapon.
One step inside the front gates of the zoo, and Kyouya already regretted his choice. His ears were filled with the white buzz of endless drones of chatter, and everywhere he let his gaze turn, there was bustling crowds of people. He felt sick, his stomach knotting with irritation as he felt his frown pull further at his lips. A soft peep from his shoulder stole his gaze for a moment, seeing Hibird settled neatly at his side he sighed. He wanted to see the new rodent exhibit. That was all, and then he was going to leave.
Or so he planned, not two more steps forward was he met with the facade of someone who looked both all too familiar, and yet just all wrong.
He froze, staring with burning eyes at the ridiculous attempt at impersonating Haneuma before him, not in the mood for whoever might be behind it.
[ ♚ ] Everything happened too fast and Primo wasn't able to remember exactly how another time skip happened to the black haired Cavallone. But rather than thinking how the hell he ended in a different place that his mind could remember to be... He was more focused to discover where he was in that moment. With a serious face he looked around him, after all he couldn't be excited about being at an unknown place... People around him talking in a language that wasn't Italian... By the letters of the posting signs he figured out that his future self must had been at Japan but at the same time he thought that was a stupid idea. It looked like a public place since it was pretty crowded and by the animals appearing in all those images it seemed to be something like a zoo. Why he was there? It didn’t make any sense. Whatever... not that he could decide to come back, the only that Cavallone was able to do in that moment was wait, maybe enjoy the place too.
[ ♚ ] And then someone took all of his attention. At first sight, Primo had thought about Alaude standing in front of him but a few seconds after he realized he was wrong. He was way younger than Vongola's cloud guardian he knew, even if his behavior really remembered to his comrade, he was also brunette not blonde. The kid seemed to be looking at him as well and not in a good mood. Primo kept his hands in the pockets of his jeans and approached to the kid with a charmingly smile in his face. “Hah... You look like Alaude but clearly you're not him. Don't you know it's rude to keep staring like that, young boy?”
