“Talk about the goddamn mental strain,” she grumbled to herself, staring intently at someone across the room - - - slowly starting to gain control, Brooklyn tried not to shiver as she felt tendrils curling around the other person’s mind, connecting them. Or something like that; she’d never been able to describe the feeling. Tilting her head ever so slightly, Brooklyn made the person walk back and forth, before releasing the connection and sighing. “I remember when this used to be more fun. Now it’s just work.”Â
