When the 5th graders were studying the nervous system, they tested their coordination by seeing how fast they could move their hand away from a falling cup! It was really fun to think about how fast our nervous system sends and receives messages throughout the body!
1st grade botanists are observing the Brassica plants they planted! Their plants have been growing so much and it’s so exciting to see how they change as they become adult plants!
The 2nd graders from Bailey and David's class are doing an experiment to see if they can find air in water! Guess what? They did!
Bus stations in South America are some of my favorite places. The possibilities are endless, and a surprise is about to unfold. Today we go to Baños.

Our first excursion was a bus ride to El Mitad Del Mundo, the Middle of the World City. Some call it a bit of a circus, and it's no wonder why. Everyone who visits is automatically filled with a certain giddiness. Must be the energy of the equator.
Backpacking through Ecuador with my one and only, starting in Quito. Almost 2 miles high and no where to go but up.
By our fifth ferry ride, we became quite skilled at boarding the boat, checking our bags quickly and finding the most comfortable seats. We pretty much had our routine down pat, and because of it we scored the coziest seats with floor to ceiling views of the sea. Here is what we saw.
Our hotel in Perissa. This place was literally the cheapest place on the whole island to stay (less than $20 a day). Staying here was heaven on earth and we were very VERY sad to leave.
