Merrock was a small town that embraced the holidays like no other. And it was one of the reasons why they decided to bundle up in layers. To take a stroll around the park to get some fresh air and take a look at the Christmas lights that were hung about. The walk Nia was on was interspersed with random stops whenever they became mesmerized with a certain blinking strand of lights or when they saw a dog on a walk with its owner, asking to pet it. Somewhere along the way, they saw a figure come into view as they walked along the sidewalk. At the other's offer, they smiled and nodded as they started to position themself in front of the decorated tree. "Sure! I know taking a selfie wouldn't do it justice."
It had been a while since Brooklyn had picked up her camera. Life had gotten in the way with her work schedule and preparing to take a few classes at the community college next semester. The holidays were the perfect opportunity to pick the camera back up and get back into her favorite hobby. The camera clicked and flashed as Brooklyn captured pictures from different angles. "Much better than a selfie," she noted as she showed them their pictures.
