Penny pretended to flip her hair. “I do, i don’t do anything by halves… and i’m pretty proud of that. But thank you… i guess having a hunter one side isn’t bad.”
Austin smiled, there really was something about her he liked. “I think I’ve figured that out about you already,” he nodded. “You should be proud. No, I think, having each other on side is not a bad thing at all.”

Jeremy nodded, paying attention to the human. “From around… you know that almost sounds suspicious.” He laughed awkwardly. “Ah, i’m sure mom will love it anyway. She can at least pretend to.”
“Meaning I am from around and I just met you.” He laughed a little, shrugging his shoulders. “Ah, wish my mom was so kind.”

“We age in a very different way young one.” Her eyes scanned him. “Have you ever met a vampire of a significant age? Older then i. We begin to lose our minds… our grip on reality.”
“I... weirdly. I find this all fascinating. I haven’t met a vampire... too old. No. I can imagine though. People are not supposed to live that long,” he nodded.

Jeremy chuckled, sipping his drink. He paused, instantly more cautious once Aria’s name was mentioned. Trouble seemed to follow that girl around. “Yes. Gerry is my brother. My boss. Who are you?” His dark eyes didn’t leave the human. “I think now she has a grandchild it’s definitely not as cute.”
“Thought so. Good to see you again,” he nodded, looking back at the wolf. “I’m Austin Brooks, I’m from around.” He laughed a little. “Yeah, I think when you pass ten years old it isn’t as cute.”

Penny was an adult and although she wasn’t able to let go of her opinions, she was able to let go of her anger towards him. “I disagree with you. Strongly. but i do like you… you have principals.”
“You know what, Pen? I think you’d do everything strongly. Good ‘cause I like you too,” he smiled.

Ezra folded her arms, trying not to indulge the human too much. “Well… the whole concept of ageing becomes redundant when you reach my age.”
He raised a brow. “Well, it becomes redundant because you don’t age. You don’t get old. You can’t get cancer, or anything like that.”
ezrabryant:
She grinned, her eyes scanning the human. He had his merits that’s for sure. “You look excellent for your age darling, but you will get older.”
Austin smirked slightly to himself. He wasn’t stupid, he knew when a woman was checking him out. “Well usually, that’s how aging works.”
ezrabryant:
“Oh darling, i shall just let you decide which way that is.” She gave him a disapproving look. “It may take away those wrinkles.” She rubbed the corners of her eyes.
“See, definitely generous,” he laughed, the look on her face only amusing him more. “I’m forty and I think I look good for my age.”
ezrabryant:
“You are special… in your own way.” She rubbed her lips together. “No darling… i have one hell of a moisturiser.”
“Special in my own way. You’re either generous or mocking,” he laughed a little. “I think I’ll borrow some then.”
ezrabryant:
“You didn’t explicitly, therefore i chose not to hear it. I protected you from my wrath darling.” She smiled gently. “I’m a hot old lady? Darling Sigmund Freud would have something to say about that.”
“I believe I did,” he grinned slightly. “Oh, now I do feel special.” He nodded. “I mean, probably. But you said it yourself. You don’t look old.”
ezrabryant:
“You can call me that, if it makes you feel better.” She smiled gently. “Because i have little interest in a meaningless holiday?”
“I think I did just call you that,” he smiled back at her. “No, just... your opinions literally remind me of an old lady.” He nudged her. “But you’re hot.”
ezrabryant:
“Yes human. What is sentimental for you?” She began to walk around him. “Maybe you are just not used to it. Excuse you, i certainly do not look like an old lady.”
“Well, isn’t that nosy?” he raised a brow as she circled him. “I would not want to be. It’s wrong. I know, you don’t. That’s what makes it all the more amusing to me.”
ezrabryant:
“Like what?” She tilted her head, listening to the human. “It’s something that has changed for the worst. I have maids.” She shrugged her shoulders. “I see nothing fun in untangling lights.”
“What is sentimental to me?” he laughed a little, she was always forward. “Not really, I would feel incredibly awkward having people do things for me that I can do myself.” He shrugged. “You’re literally like that old lady that people call miserable behind their back, aren’t you?”

“I do accept you, i just don’t agree with you.” Penny leant forward. “Just because we don’t agree doesn’t mean we have to dislike eachother.”
“I can live with that,” he grinned as she leant forward. “Well, good, I do like you.”

“Maybe she is… but maybe she doesn’t need to make a whole new world to be her.” She sighed gently. “You… were told something and you believed it. I don’t blame you frot hat.”
“No and I agree. I just think... we need to accept one another. I’m really trying. I mean well,” he nodded. “I really don’t want to offend you, Penny. I like you.”
ezrabryant:
“You do not get to this age without having a thing or two you’re fond of.” Her dark eyes rested on the human. “Decorate? Gracious no. That’s a job for servants.”
“Hmm, fair point. I guess, I have things like that even at my age,” he nodded before letting out a little laugh. “You know, in 2019, people don’t really have servants. The fun is doing it yourself.”

“I think it’s the only way.” She chuckled to herself. “I… am just trying to make a better world. That was never going to happen easily.” She smiled, folding her arms. “Are you worried?”
“It’s a scary world if I’m the moral one,” he laughed gently. “I know that. I see that. It’s going to take hard work.” He shook his head. “No, I have met some people who have surprised me.”
