(Don’t know If this went through because Tumblr freaked out when I attempted to post this so I hope I don’t repost)

So I was thinking of Rarepairs as a result of previous relationships, such as Kageyama dating Yamamoto from Nekoma, as a result of initially dating Tanaka. It’s not used often, but it’s a much more realistic scenario to make some couples get together than having them meet by an off chance and suddenly know each other. But also you don’t want to ruffle to many feathers by stepping over someone else’s rarepair OTP.

So I just have a few HC’s involving rarepairs getting together thanks to the ending of other rare pairs. not to be cruel, but it’s just more realistic for this to happen. 

KageyamaXYamamato

Meet through Tanaka, while Kageyama and Tanaka were dating

Yamamato is so extremely jealous  of Tanaka’s beautiful Kouhai who calls Tanaka, Senpai

Tanaka and Yamamoto are very wild together, but separately Tanaka is more wild in private than Yamamoto

Anyway Kags kinda can’t reign in Tanaka and that relation kinda falls away after Tanaka goes to college

Cue Kags coming to the same college as Yamamato and the two know each other well enough that Yama offers Kags to room with him

Much more reserved Yamamoto has Kags smitten and they soon get together

Tanaka demands to be both their best man at the wedding

YamaguchiXKuro

Yamaguchi and Tsuki totally have a childhood friends with benefits thing going on tbh 

But Yama is definitely more smitten with Tsuki at least until their falling out at the tokyo camp

Cue Kuro finding a crying Yamaguchi one night after a particularly bad day of training and they manage to get close

Kuro makes Yamaguchi feel better about Tsuki and they exchange numbers and start texting

But long distance relationships are tough so cue

oh bitch you thought

Daishō totally tries the rebound for Kuro’s cute bf, but Yamaguchi is stronger than yesterday

Daishō ain’t quitting though, cause he was caught first sight by that beautiful freckled face. 

So cue a will they won’t they scenario for a couple of months

Daishō’s silver tongue works magic though, and Yama can take the sass too from years of being with Tsuki

So finally they go on a date and you can best believe Daishō can talk his way into anyone’s heart, but if you come for his boyfriend he will burn your crops and poison the town’s water supply with words alone.

This is more of a case of these two idiots have a crush on the even bigger sunshine idiot(Hinata) and meet up because of it

One day Hinata invites them and a few others to his place on his birthday and they meet, and instantly Koganegawa thinks Kenma must be Hinata’s boyfriend, he’s so cute and small and nice and he smells nice and he’s beautiful and am I jealous of Hinata now?

Meanwhile Kenma(who knows that Hinata is crushing on a DateTech player) is like “of course Hinata loves this big idiot they are perfect for each other, so bright and cheerful and happy and cute and wait a minute…”

Actually it was Aone Hinata is seeing, and this blows Koganegawa’s mind but he’s still pretty bummed, but Aone is like go talk to the pretty Nekoma Setter and Koganegawa is like “HE’S A SETTER TOO!!” and maybe Koganegawa falls in love way too easily

Anyway cue Big dumb Tol and Cute sassy Smol being adorable BF’s together

They get their hair dyed as a date every month or so and it's adorable 

So there were some Ideas I had, I feel like so much possibilities open up by having two characters date( or even just be friends) and getting them to know some friends through them. Or even friends of an existing couple

So imagine HyakuGoshi! Two guys who r just so determined to do better. Imagine Goshiki helping Hyakuzawa on spiking, especially in aiming his spikes (since that's smth Goshiki is good at according to his Super Straight Spikes). I feel like they would have a good dynamic, plus the height difference is always a good thing (ESP bc Goshiki is usually tall but he just looks so tiny next to Hyakuzawa). I just thought of it today but I'm getting really attached to this ship lol. -Hyaku Anon

(An accidental part 2 to the HyakuGoshi ask) so I went back and glanced through he trainin camp arc n like there’s this little scene in chapter 210 where Hyakuzawa is being coached on receiving and Goshiki has this determined little look on his face and imagine him almost considering them rivals! But then they end up talking more and they become friends (and then at some point probably get closer!) I can’t stop thinking abt this now… -Hyaku Anon

TsukiKage sleeping headcanons

As much as I also want this to define that kind of sleeping together, I need my fluffy ship thoughts

Kageyama’s the type who would steal space, usually by being sprawled out on bed or moving around while sleeping. He’s been used to sleeping alone in his room with a pretty big bed, and so he got used to that.

Tsukishima is surprisingly the cuddler between the two of them, perhaps because he has hugging pillows on his own bed. So he ends up sleeping more comfortably while hugging something.

Kageyama yearns to find something cold to make him comfortable enough to sleep (which makes him keep on moving around because he ends up warming up whatever he touches for long), while Tsukishima tries to hold on to something warm to relax himself, since his own body temperature isn’t helping that much.

So when they cuddle, Kageyama moves a lot lesser because there’s the “infinite source of cold” in form of Tsukishima, while the latter would just find the other’s warmth (along with scent, maybe) relaxing.

Spooning, though. At first, obviously there’s the apparent distinction in who is the big spoon and the little spoon, but Kageyama learns how to cuddle too eventually, and this comes in handy when Tsukishima really had chills and Kageyama’s like “don’t move so much, it’s my turn for now.”

the team is so confused by their relationship, they’re both grumpy and standoff-ish and both awkward as hell yet they make the cutest couple and are actually so sweet it hurts

Tsukishima really loves booping Kageyama’s nose

their getting together story was such a long process since they’re both stubborn as hell and refuse to admit to anything

the first week they move in together one of them always ends up having to sleep on the couch bc they fight. they thought it wasn’t going to work out and even thought about breaking up but then they sat down and really had a conversation about what was going on and it was because both were so afraid of fucking up so it ends in cuddles

both rarely smile genuinely but when they do it makes the other’s heart skip a beat

Kageyama learns how to make strawberry shortcake just for Tsukishima

Tsukishima has a thing for Kageyama’s hands, they’re so pretty and he is just always trying to hold them and at first Kageyama was really confused by it but now he almost craves it

they seem like the least touchy-feely people but they love physical contact so much, even if it’s just brushing against each other in the hall

Tsukishima begins tutoring Kageyama, he rewards him with kisses for each question he gets right

both love classical music and listen to it as they get ready in the mornings

they also end up slow dancing a lot in the mornings bc of this

Tsukishima was terrified when he finally realized he liked Kageyama and didn’t think he could talk to anyone about it, not even Yamaguchi, and one day Kuroo just messages him out of the blue and Kuroo ends up giving him relationship advice and Tsukishima thinks he’s gone crazy to take Kuroo’s advice but in the end it’s what got him and Kags together
