despa worries about stuff more than people might think. in general it's usually his looks(/his personal coffers) and both his brothers (desha taking care of himself as well as the kingdom, ouken ouken), but now that More Stuff has come up he also concerns himself with bojji and kage's wellbeing.

What's she know about his figure anyway. And what sort of person just says all that about someone's sense of fashion? Despa keeps his mouth mostly shut, though the idea of her not seeing anything like what he's wearing in thousands of years is odd. The Underworld isn't even that old.

"I am... A resident of this kingdom." No way is he bringing up being a prince. "All things are plentiful, though if you're in search of alcohol, I would suggest trying a tavern in town."

stinkin thinkin a lot abt The Brothers lately (partially bc of the bojji thread partially bc. theyre always on the brain.) but never anything specific. just the three of them and how much they suck

To the little head pat he can't help but snicker, always happy to receive them. Though he was still taking time to get used to compliments, no matter how truthful they might be. Still, he would agree that it was good he and Daida were finally back on track to be close just like when they were very little.

Still, he carefully observed the master's expressions and other small body signs when he spoke about his brothers. Not surprised that he was a bit dismissive of King Desha, he did notice that the two of them would often bicker back and forth, but maybe that was simply a type of bond they shared.

When he did speak about Ouken, it was a heavy topic. He never knew the prince before he became...well what he did. So instead Boji would gently pat Despa's arm in a small attempt to soothe and show understanding. 'I would love to get to know him master!' he would sign with a big smile on his small face.

'I think he would make lots of friends in my kingdom as well! Though first, he would have to talk to my mother she is a little ...protective sir'

The return pat is appreciated, with Despa putting a hand over Bojji's briefly before he's back to signing. Even just thinking about Ouken is difficult on the best of days, but talking about him like he'll be better eventually, reminiscing on how he was before... It does make him feel a bit better. Optimism about his condition is key, he's sure.

"Some day soon, hopefully. And I'm sure he could manage to charm even her in spite of her protectiveness." What a woman, though it's unfair to judge her personality when they met under such strange circumstances. Despa also felt a bit hysterical in the moment.

Giving himself a moment to quietly think, he turns slightly towards Bojji as he speaks again. "In spite of what I said about Desha, he has his positives - I understand your first meeting did not go... Particularly well," near outright admitting to poking through that specific memory, though who could blame him for it, "but under that harsh exterior lies a truly wonderful king, who cares deeply about his subjects."

"I'm sure you'll be much the same at your own kingdom in the future." A very, very brief pause, before he quickly adds on. "Though with a much more approachable outward personality."

Maybe he shouldn't be on edge so easily, though it's not like he was in that good of a mood in the first place. Still, Despa feels a little guilt for rebuffing the man so quickly, and closes the gap to give his hand a loose shake.

What a name. "A pleasure, master Fate. You've simply caught me at a bad time, nothing more." He already knows who Despa is, so... His hand returns to his drink. "I don't toss my money around very easily," drinking aside, "so I'd like to know what 'everything' entails before I vow to make a purchase."
