Not too shocking, is it, that out of USA Today’s top 5 Best-Selling books right now are all books that were made into movies? 

I’ve seen the previews for A Dog’s Purpose, not that it interested me too much, mostly because dog movies are usually sad. 

I’ve also seen the previews for Hidden Figures, which I really need to go and see but now also may need to read first! 

And I didn’t know that A Man Called Ove was a movie (released in 2015) I have seen it circulating in the library a lot, also I have heard really good reviews so I may also have to check it out.

Have you read any of these, or did you even know that they were books?

It’s okay to have happy endings. Sometimes fiction needs to be hopeful, and remind us of what we can achieve if we keep trying. 

It’s okay to have sad endings. Real life sucks, and sometimes it’s nice to know that you’re not the only one who got shafted. 

It’s okay to have open endings. Leaving people wondering is good– it makes them think. And writing should make you think, once in a while. 

End your story however you want to– don’t let people tell you that it needs to end a certain way to please some audience or another.

Is anyone into writing books or short stories? I’ve tried and tried to write books, even just short ones and I just can’t do it, I can never come up with an ending or even a cliff-hanger ending, which I would never do anyway because I hate those and that’s a make or break when I rate a book, your rating goes down the drain if there’s not a set ending, unless there’s a book after it, but by the last one in the series there must be an ending.  So anyway, I write little excerpts, because I love to write and I find prompts to give me ideas and go off of that and pretty much write until my imagination gives out, some of them are longer than the others.  I would like to get more ink for my typewriter and type them up and then keep them in a little portfolio because I love things on paper rather than just on the computer. This has been a favorite of prompts that I saved and I haven’t written anything for it, I’ve been waiting to get into a romance mood because I have a PERFECT idea for it I just don’t want to ruin it!
