A sample of some of the prototypes being developed in advance of our STEAMstudio crit tomorrow. Can’t wait to see how the final presentations come out! Projects include an arm band device that allows for doctors to empathize with the condition of their patients, glasses that gives a 3rd person perspective of themselves and their group, and a computer case that doubles as a removable dry erase board for creative collaboration.

First and last iterations of the whiteboard laptop case before bending.

Differences can be noted with the extra clips on the pink board in order to hold the white board material. In addition, as the middle top clip of the green board obstructed the front facing camera of the laptop, it was removed from the design. Perhaps the biggest difference in design between the two iterations was the slits on either side of each clip, this ensured minimal warping of the material from hearing as the slits gave leeway room for heat to transfer effectively.
