I would've been happy for BHC too, i'd have loved for the game to be a bit closer, but in the end it was a well-deserved win for us and i'm so happy for my guys 🥺🥹 and while it might sting a bit just this moment, i think each and every BHC player is and can be incredibly happy and proud of this huge achievement!

Referees were a joke

As they have been for the entire championship. I will never understand why the final games are always reffed by the most controversial and obviously inconsistent referees. Same with the fucking Nachevskis, at least they were disqualified for this tournament for cheating lol

And ESPECIALLY when this ref team has already reffed the first GER : DEN game back in the main round. I'd call corruption but maybe the EHF actually just is that stupid

It certainly leaves a sour taste in ones mouth. Everything lead to Denmark winning and maybe the EHF had some hand in this, but I don't know if it's worth it to start a conspiracy

Nah i wouldn't call it an overall conspiracy either (though it wouldn't be unheard of, i know the french team was convicted of corruption twice afaik), but it's an overall pattern that i'm just so fucking tired of. We don't have enough referees on any level in the sport, but the quality in the top level both nationally and internationally is absolutely shocking imo.

There's still good ones, and i don't think most of the worse ones are doing it deliberately either. And i think there's a lot of pressure on the referees and a lot of horrible shit thrown their way by fans. But the lack of consistency both in a single game and across multiple games (and both by a single pair and all pairs) is making many decisions seem very arbitrary and thus can easily feel/be biased.

And yeah i'm still not over the path for main group ii...........

What a disappointing end to the championship for me. I cant' even be happy for denmark because the fans were so horrible the entire time. Guess i can relive the good moments when i begin to gif the approximately 800 gifs from thirty games i have noted down 😬🥲

I think btw that it should be illegal for the final to be refereed by the same people that already reffed the same match during the tournament. Regardless of the fact that i hate these refs anyway and have done so ever since i first saw them.
