It was raining. Obito pinched the bridge of his nose at the obvious observation. He had been soaked through minutes ago, and his thought process had just registered that it was raining. Oh, well. At least the park was empty now. No one ever asked Obito to play with them, (not that he would say yes anyways), so he usually sat under a tree and watched all the other kids run around or spar. But now, he had the whole place to himself.
outofscars; Oh, look, Tumblr's fucking up, nothing new there
Obito laid on the grass in the park, staring up at the stars hanging in the sky. His stomach gave a quiet growl, and a small scowl pulled down his lips. He had half a mind to tell his stomach to shut up, he knew it was hungry, but he could do nothing to help that at the moment.
A sigh slipped from his lips.

"Yay!" She would’ve hugged him, but since he always flinched away, she rejected the idea. "Anyway, do you want me to buy you some? As an apology."
He shook his head. No, he would figure this out himself. He had four years, and that would change.
"Then do you want me to go?" she guessed. She wasn’t sure what he was thinking but from the way he acted, it seemed like she had made him mad.
He turned to her, not saying anything for a moment. After a bit, he simply shrugged. Stay, go, it didn't really matter a whole lot to him right now.
Obito sat under a tree, hiding. He rubbed his wrist a bit, hoping to make the pain go away. Sure, he had gotten spotted before, but never caught. His wrist hurt from how hard the man had gripped it, and it had taken a bit to pry his fingers off.
Obito was shaking slightly, from both adrenaline and fear.
sumiko-thelostchild:
"Then I’ll buy some for you? Or with you?" It didn’t feel right just leaving without doing something.
Obito didn’t feel like answering. He didn’t like getting help from people. It usually seemed to mean he owed them something.
"Aww, come on! Don’t make me feel guilty here!" If he didn’t answer any time soon, she’d start to think he was mad at her.
Obito still kept quiet, lost in his thoughts once more. Maybe he could ration the bread throughout the day….?
She pouted and joined him on the ground, mustering her best puppy face. “C’mon, say something… Please! Don’t stay mad at mmmeeeee!”
“S-stop….” There, he talked. Would she leave him to think now? He still had to figure out what he was going to do for the rest of the day.

He scoot back a bit more, nodding. “I-I’m fine….”
She saw his reaction and let her hand fall to her side. “You know, I don’t understand you sometimes.”
Obito looked to the side. “G-good…..” Was his mumbled reply. The less she understood the better.
She ignored his comment. “A usual kid would just take up my offer. Yet you declined it altogether. You’re just like a riddle.”
“G-good….” He mumbled once more. He wasn’t exactly an ordinary kid after all, not in the least. At least, not that he had seen.
"Is ‘good’ the only reaction you have right now? Are you sure you didn’t hit your head too hard?"
Obito simply scowled at her a bit before noticing something. He looked around until he saw the dango he had dropped, flattened in all the commotion.
"Oh…what a waste." She shook her head. "Do you want a new one?"
He wasn’t listening to her, the gears in his mind turning. He wasn’t going to be able to get anything until the crowds dispersed around two or so, and he would either wait till then to eat, or he had half a loaf of stale bread, but he had been hoping to save that until dinner. He grabbed the bread out of his bag, looking at it as he thought.
She waved a hand in front of him. “Hello? If you want, I’ll just leave the money here and leave. You don’t have to ignore me.”
Obito blinked before turning and lightly glaring at her. He then shook his head. All the shopkeepers knew him practically by name, he had stolen from then so often. He wouldn’t be able to just walk in there.

Would you look at that...? There was a family having a picnic. Obito hoped they left their basket soon. It always happened. Helped him get some good food.

Well, taking those dangos had been easier than he had thought it would be. Obito sat on a park bench, munching away.
She loomed over from behind him with crossed arms. “Did you take them again?”
Obito flinched…
She jumped to the other side of the bench when he fell and scooped his head to her lap. “Hey? Did you pass out?”
Obito bilked upright, making himself a bit light headed in the process, and crawled away from her a bit before turning to face her, still on his hands and knees.
She tilted her head, got up, and extended a hand towards him. “You alright?”
He scoot back a bit more, nodding. “I-I’m fine….”
