For some reason tumblr ate my posts... Last time (2/4) we were at the Opera! There were tons of great drawings from it and you should go when you have the opportunity!

The weather outside is frightful, but Bryant Park can be so delightful. Let's meet at the New York Public Library this coming Saturday at 2:00pm. If it's warm enough we'll draw outside, if it's not, let's go upstairs into the Rose Reading Room to draw people and the thousands of books lining the formidable shelves.
A bit about the New York Public Library: This specific branch is a Beaux-Arts building which has undergone a bunch of different name changes and was opened over 100 years ago in 1911. Planning for it started 10 years before that in 1901 when a bunch of rich guys got together to consolidate the various libraries of the city into a single system. The result is what we New Yorkers currently have. We have the 2nd largest library system in the US (only to the Library of Congress) and the 3rd or 4th (depending on the year) largest library system in the world! In fact, just across the street are multiple alternate branches that lots of us tend to forget exist.
We are meeting Saturday July 16th at 2pm at the plaza outside the Apple Store in Meatpacking District! At 9th ave/Hudson St and 14th st. After sketching some panoramic views of old/new lofts, we’ll hit up one of the nearby beer gardens for more drawing. See you there!
more #tbt to Pod39 rooftop views from last year. @lolsup kills it with her signature bold yellow accents!
#tbt to that time we sketched on the roof of Pod39 hotel all day :’)
