Scarlette Pierce-
Current age: unknown
Height: 5’4”
Date of Birth: August 30, 1986
Background:
Scar and Toby met when they were younger, having really similar birthdays and both being generally weird kids, they became friends quickly. As they got older they bonded over their abusive family situations and mental health issues. Scarlette, being more able to function in day to day life, helped Toby out and stayed close with him even when he felt inadequate. Eventually however, his situation worsened and he was pulled from school, she still tried to visit and stay close but it became much harder. After Lyra's and Shay's death, the two bonded even more but also struggled more. Toby eventually snapped and had his incident, leaving Scarlette completely alone. One night he comes to her window, telling her a story about an entity that had saved him and taken him in and how he could do the same for her. All she had to do was prove her worth and… she went to bed that night thinking about it. Days pass and she forgets about the whole incident, too much going on anyways with her father getting worse. One evening, the fight becomes physical. At the climax of the fight a vase is thrown, shattering on the wall beside Scarlette's head. In self defense she grabs a shard of glass and drives it into her father's neck, to the horror of her observing mother. But she can't stop now, it's too much, too much pain and anger built up, and Toby's words drift back through her mind. She pulls the shard of glass out and drives it back into his chest. She stabs him repeatedly, feeling the jagged edges slice her palm open. She looks up at her mother with wide eyes, feeling shame and sorrow but it's too late. Would it be more cruel to kill her or leave her alone with nothing? She calls out "I'm sorry, mom" stumbling away from the body and towards her mother, hoping just once for the care a mother should give, but instead she's silent. Scarlette collapses into her mothers arms, crying and pleading for something— anything— but the same coldness she's used to. Again, nothing, and so she pulls herself together and plunges the glass into her mothers chest. She at least hopes it's quicker than her fathers death. After she finishes, she looks out the back door, somehow wide open to the wooded area behind. Standing in the tree line is Toby, behind him a tall… man? Thing? Seemingly warping reality where it stands. And as her mind comes to her body, the feeling of slick blood and open skin, the sight of gore splattering the walls, she realizes she has no choice. Scarlette runs, never to be seen again, two dead and a girl missing, a cold case, a tragedy rocking the town yet again so soon, and a new proxy for the Slenderman.

I’m currently working on fleshing out her backstory and posting another fic on AO3
Basically, the story takes place in 2003 and would switch between current and past point of view. I want the more current timeline to remain sort of unidentified to show just how messed up things become for the two after being taken by the Slenderman.
More pictures and her little character sheet that I made!

Finally working on my fanfiction about our friend group! Technically it's about these two guys we know but our whole group is there and there's gonna be some more subtext between me and one of my friends as well :3
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
My friend wrote the first chapter so excuse the different writing styles! We will be switching every chapter and it will be dual POV. Working on my chapter atm (along with my other works, executive disfunction be damned) so keep an eye out!
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Official chapter two was supposed to be done in the next couple of days but… ten plus paragraphs didn’t save when the page reloaded and are all gone :)
Currently bawling my eyes out and wondering what I’ve done to deserve this. Please check this out or else none of this effort is even worth it 😔
I just need to say something somewhere where people will hear it.
I am sitting safe in my home crying my eyes out because there is so much going on in our world right now.
America is run by rapists and pedophiles. Little girls were raped and killed and trafficked and eaten and nobody is doing anything about it. It was turned into a joke. Made to look like a conspiracy theory by our own government and now nobody will do anything to protect the girls that survived.
They released UNCENSORED pictures of the victims. These women who fought so hard to stay safe and anonymous and move past the trauma of what happened to them were outed.
They had the audacity to protect a rapist but not the women who were hurt.
I don’t even know what to do other than cry and scream about how horrific all of this is. I’m a young woman in this country. There isn’t much I can do to help but spread awareness of the things going on and I’m trying so hard.
I have to see all these horrible things and go on with my life as if nothing is wrong. Everything is wrong!
Please, speak up. Share, repost, use your platform to say something! Do not let your life go on like nothing is happening if you have the power to do otherwise. Out of everything they can do, they cannot keep us silent.
Find me at brunette_bunny09 on AO3! Will be posting the same fanfic there as on Wattpad and maybe a few more short works along the way (also check out bunny_pt2 on Wattpad for a few more shorts coming soon 😋)
This is a prequel to my story "The Thing", thought up and posted after the original story.
The prompt was to write a story where a characters true identity or self is revealed.
CW/TW: extreme gore, violence, body horror
1,778 words
“You got this.” I say to Scarlet as she stands above the sheep. Mary and I hold the sheep’s legs spread eagle, leaving its stomach exposed for Scarlet. The lamb writhes in our grip, and we hold it down tighter. “Scarlet just take a deep breath.”
Scarlet nods, taking a deep breath and kneeling at the side of the bleating lamb. She takes up the knife and guides it across the belly of the creature with shaking hands. After making the incision she uses the knife to carefully carve each organ from the body. She places them neatly beside her before making work of removing the eyes. Using the knife she scrapes down the inside of the lamb, making sure it looks clean. The last step is for the heart to be removed. Scarlet reaches in hesitantly, one hand grips the heart while the other positions the knife to the aorta, preparing to make the final cut. We all hold our breath waiting for her to complete it, but Scarlet quickly yanks her hands from the body nearly cutting herself with the knife.
“I can’t do this.” She hands the knife to Mary. Mary sighs and grabs it from her, pushing her out of the way to get in a good spot. She grabs the heart and cuts the connecting tissues and vessels. She doesn’t remove it from the sheep but places it in the center of the hollowed-out body.
“There.” she snaps at Scarlet. “Go put the things where they belong.” Scarlet grabs the organs one by one and places them in the spots we’d decided earlier. Mary and I remain in our spots.
Eventually the sun disappears below the horizon, leaving us with only the light from the fire to see by. The smoke curls from within the hollowed-out body of the lamb we’d used for the sacrifice. The eyes had been buried beneath it and the organs scattered around the clearing in the shape of a pentagram. The only thing in the body was the heart, left to smolder in the fire.
“Done.” She said, spreading the last of the blood in a line to connect the pentagram. She wipes her hand over her forehead leaving a streak of blood on her face. I nod and stare back at the fire. The charred remains of the heart were going out. Once they did, this would be over. The rest of the girls sit in their spots around the fire, and we wait.
The fire begins to die down and eventually only smoke rises from the carcass. We sit in the darkness and wait for her. As the night wears on, we fall asleep one by one.
I wake up to the roaring of the fire, so hot I can feel it even at a distance. The heart of the sheep was reformed and surrounded by black flames yet unburning. The other girls turn to each other with shocked looks, and we all stand.
“I thought it wasn’t going to work.” One of them says, sounding ecstatic. We gather close and stand, hands clasped and eyes closed, around the fire. She would come soon.
We don’t wait long before the flame grows. Even with our eyes closed we can tell because of the heat coming off of it, growing with every second. It grows to be almost insufferable and just as we’re about to break our circle and open our eyes it stops. We squeeze each other's hands and open our eyes.
There she is, standing amidst the flames inside the sheep’s body. She was so pale she appeared to glow. Her black hair is deeper than the night sky itself and seemed to flow into the still-burning fire as if infinite. She looked just like a human, but you could tell that she wasn’t. She was too perfect. Angelic. We stand around her for only a minute, appreciating her beauty, before getting on our knees.
As we kneel before her she lets out what sounds like a song. She has the most beautiful voice I’d ever heard. We all look up her and then to each other. She seems to smile at us and nod. We bow our heads and that’s when she let out an inhuman wail. We startle out of our reverie and look up to see the beauty drained from our deity. Her once beautiful hair hung in greasy strands, even the fire seeming to dull around her. Her skin, looking sickly grey now rather than the glowing white we’d seen before, clings to her like wet rags. Her form is no longer angelic but still far from human.
“What are you?” One of the girls asks in a fearful whisper.
“I am your god.” The thing whispers back in a language none of us know, but all of us understand.
Another animalistic shriek rings through the air as the thing removes itself from the abdomen of the lamb. It closes the short distance between itself and Scarlet before wrapping one gnarled hand around her neck and lifting her into the air. She thrashes around in its grip, gasping for air in place of a scream when it tears its yellowed claws through her stomach. The thing throws her to the ground, crawling over her to begin scraping out her intestines as Scarlet had done to the lamb. We all watch in horror as she screams, we couldn’t tell if the blood splattered on her face had come from her mouth or the thing messily devouring her organs. It quickly finishes and moves on to carefully plucking her eyes from their sockets before finally grabbing her heart. It rips it from her chest, gently placing it in her hands, cupped and folded neatly inside her hollowed-out stomach. Then its eyes make their way to me.
I tug my hands away from the other girls, but they all have the same idea. We all turn and tear off in opposite directions hoping to escape the thing. It screams out what sounds like a laugh before I hear it begin chasing us through the woods. I hear crashing in the brush and I can’t tell if it’s the other girls or the thing. A scream sounds out from across the clearing answering my question. Mary. Everything comes to a halt as we hear the gruesome noises of her being torn apart. When it stops we hear another shriek, almost as if in victory, before it begins chasing us again. Our running only ever stops when another of the girls is picked off. We wait as if to honor her before it tells us to continue.
Finally, I see lights letting me know I’m close to home. I quicken my pace as I crash through the fence and slam it shut. I no longer stop when the next girl screams, just continue my sprint across the backyard. I tear open the door and slam it behind me, praying that the lock will be enough to hold it off. I sink to the ground, tugging my knees to my chest as I wait. The woods have gone silent once again.
I try to calm my breathing, wiping dirt from my tear-streaked face. I manage to calm myself, but it’s shattered in an instant when another shriek finally rings out. But this time it's not from across the clearing, it's not even in the woods behind my house. Its close. Close enough that I can hear the beautiful song it used to be underneath the terrifying rasp.
It's right outside.
Against my better judgement I push myself up off the ground, keeping low as I crawl to the window. I poke my head above the sill just enough to see outside. The night seems to stretch forever, black skies blurring into the tree line. Amidst the tall, dead trees, it stands. It's greasy black hair seeming to blend into the night sky, its pale sickly skin contrasting so that it almost appears to glow again. It takes a slow lurching step towards me. Then another. Its limbs are too long, too skinny, they bend at all the wrong angles. Then you look at it altogether and it looks... fine. Normal. Almost.
It continues its slow, jerky walk towards me and no matter how hard I try I can’t tear my eyes away. I sit paralyzed with fear as it gets closer and closer. Finally, my body listens to me. I stumble back, crawling away from the window. But it's too late.
It smashes through the glass, dragging its distorted form through the window. It drops onto all fours, its limbs bending out at inhuman angles as it crawls towards me. I crawl back on my elbows but its faster. It cages me in underneath it before letting its mouth lull open. Its tongue unravels from its mouth, hanging just below its chin. It runs its tongue along my jaw as if teasing me.
Without warning it grabs me. It's gnarled hand wraps around my waist as its long claws tear into my flesh. It lifts me into the air, holding my feet off the ground as I scream. It drags me out though the window, broken glass cutting into my skin. It pulls me back into the dark night, through the trees and brush of the woods. Right back to the clearing where it all started. It tosses me into the center of the pentagram, laughing as it stands over me. Around me lay my friends, all of them hollowed out as the lamb had been.
I stare up at the thing, paralyzed in fear as it leers at me. It seems to laugh as it bends down over me. It reaches towards my face and I clamp my eyes shut, knowing what's about to happen. It digs its claws into the sockets anyways, leaving a searing pain in the place where my eyes should be. I can no longer tell if my screams make any sound, if I’m screaming at all. It's claws slice through my abdomen next and the pain becomes overwhelming. Its incisions are precise despite my writhing and it pries my flesh apart, digging into me to scrape me clean. I can only hear as it devours my intestines, feel the blood splattering over my desecrated body, drifting from consciousness as I’m torn apart.
The last thing it does is sever my heart, prying it from the delicate vessels. It places it within the hollowed-out cavity of my chest. A beautiful presentation for those who find us. A message of its arrival. This creature who we brought into this world, now set free.
"Allah, grant me the strength to resist her until nightfall"

Chapter 4 will be out by end of week and I finally made the full outline so I should be working faster now that I have the basics written down. As of now the story is only a little over 3,000 words, shooting for at least 10k by the end. Wish my luck and enjoy guys! 💕
The prompt for this story was telling in the form of a police report, news article, or journal entry about an incredible/impossible event.

“Alright Mathis. You’re on your own. I’ll see you in the morning.”
“See you.” I mumbled back half-heartedly. I hadn’t had the night shift in a while. And it had to happen the night before my daughter’s concert. I wouldn’t be home till five and she had to be there by 5:30. I locked the door behind him and sat back down at the desk. I hope it's an easy shift today. Maybe I can get in some sleep.
10:30
I finish off my third cup of coffee. I haven’t had to stay up this late since my daughter was first born. I had changed my schedule to help my wife and I still ended up with the night shift so she could get in some sleep. I should get something to eat. I grab my radio and head out of the office, toward the vending machine down the hall. As I’m waiting for the bag of chips to fall, I hear someone cry out. Shit. Right when I leave my station. I walk in the direction I heard it from, leaving my things behind.
“Hello? Is anyone there?” I say when I reach the end of the hall. The only response is another yelp. “Are you hurt?” Everything comes to a halt when I survey the room. Empty. I head back to the office, grabbing my chips on the way.
12:48
The cry comes again a few times, but the cameras show nothing. I leave to check a few times and the sound stops every time I enter the room it seems to come from. It's been traveling closer and closer to the office each time.
1:04
I hear footsteps outside the door.
“Please.” I hear before the voice dissolves into sobbing. It's the first time I’ve heard it say a word. I walk to the door.
“What do you need?” I ask through the door.
“Please.” It cries again. Nails claw at the door. “Let me in.” I check the camera. There's nobody outside the door. The crying stops and I go back to the door. I reach reluctantly to open it only to find that whatever was outside is gone.
“Maybe I should get some sleep.” I say, sitting back down.
2:13
The crying didn’t come again for a long time but when it did it was always outside my door. Still nothing showed on the camera.
When I finally see something on the camera it's just a woman getting something from her car. She comes in the middle of a fit, disturbing the pattern of the voice’s cries. The harsh yelping screams of the thing become the small, frightened cries of a child. The woman looked scared and confused when she heard it. What could a child be doing out so late? How had they gotten in?
I wanted to tell her not to follow the cries. There would be nothing there. But I had the feeling she would find something.
2:19
The woman followed the cries to the bathroom and has not come out yet. I have to go check on her. I’m not sure what happened and I’m afraid to find out.
2:24
After waiting to see if she would come out, I finally push myself to go check. The halls are still silent. I reach the women’s bathroom at the end of the hall near the parking lot and knock.
“Ma’am? Is everything alright in there?” Silence. I knock again. After another moment of nothing from the other side I push the door open. It creaks loudly and stops midway, as if something was blocking its path. I take a deep breath and shut my eyes. I hope when I open them it will be right. She’ll be on the phone. That’s why she didn’t answer me. I push the door again and it stays put. I step through the half open door and survey the restroom. I stop short of looking behind the door. I walk away from it and check in each of the stalls. Empty. All of them. I turned to leave, finally taking in the mess behind the door.
The woman lay on the bathroom floor, blood pooling lazily around her motionless body. Where her eyes should be are empty sockets, a sluggish waterfall of blood streaming down the side of her face and into her pale brown hair. She lays on her back, fully exposing her carved out abdomen. It looked like something had scraped her cleaner that bones on an ant pile. Her face displayed the terror she must have felt when she was killed. The only thing I saw left of her was her heart. It was placed in her cupped hand resting on the floor beside her, as if she was handing it to me.
I turned and ran to one of the stalls. I vomited the bag of chips and three cups of coffee I’d had earlier, only able to think about what had happened to the rest of her. After it seemed like there was nothing else I could throw up, it stopped. I wiped my mouth and stood, taking deep breaths to steady myself. I walked to the sink and washed my face. I was careful not to look in the mirror, so I didn’t see what was behind me. I walked out the door with my eyes closed and headed back to the office.
2:39
I grab look for my phone, preparing to call the police but I can’t find it. I hear it ring. It's coming from outside the room. Then something wails. I slam the door shut again as the claws scratch outside. I twist the lock and the thing starts pounding on the door.
“Please! Please let me in!” it cries over and over again. I look at the cameras, still seeing nothing outside the door. I look to the corner of the screens and see a room that wasn’t there before. The office. This office. The door on screen creaks open. I look, expecting to finally see the thing tormenting me, and see nothing. The only movement is on the screen. I watch the door swing open fully, but don’t see anything that could’ve opened it. The door on screen slams shut again and the knocking outside stops. I press my ear against the door, listening for the thing. I hear it whisper
“I’ll be back.” A shudder runs through me at the sound of its voice. Calm. Unlike I’ve heard it all night. I sit down in front of the screens, eyes trained on the one with me in it, and wait.
3:00
It hadn’t come back at all since the last time. I thought maybe I’d make it to the morning. Then I heard it cry. The door on screen opens but nothing comes through. I turn to the door in the room and see it hasn’t opened yet. Nothing had entered the room on screen, but I turned and looked back. I stood and walked backwards in fear, then the screen goes dark. I sit rigidly still as I hear the door behind me creak open. I slowly turn to face whatever it is that tore open the woman in the bathroom.
In the small crack of the door I see a face. It looks almost human. It stumbles into the room in a way that almost mimics walking. Everything it does is so horribly almost right. It looks like a human gone sour, rotten. Everything about it is just wrong in a way you can’t figure out. It looks pale and sick, its hair hanging in greasy strands. Its arms are just a bit too long and bend at an almost normal looking angle. Its neck seems to stretch far too long until you look at it all together and everything falls into just the right place. You can’t put your finger on what's wrong with it, but you know this thing is wrong.
It continues its slow, lurching walk towards me. With every step it takes forward I shuffle back, stopping only when my back hits the wall. It stops a few steps in front of me and smiles. Its teeth are just a bit too sharp, too long. They sit crooked in its too wide mouth. Its smile stretches across its sallow, sunken cheeks. It steps forward again, letting its mouth drop open. Its tongue lolls out and drops to just below its chin. It steps again. The distance between us disappears and it's standing over me.
It seems much taller now, arching over me, saliva dripping on my face. I see one of its hands reach for me. I feel its long nails against my shirt and then searing pain through my abdomen. Its claws tear through my skin and muscles. I drop to the floor staring at this thing. It kneels by me, still smiling, and begins to dig into my stomach. I feel it removing my organs one by one. Blood pools around me and drips from the mouth of the thing devouring me. Its yellow teeth and pale skin are now stained red, underneath its claws are bits of flesh. I see its hand reaching for my face. I try to shut my eyes, but it digs its bloody claws into the socket anyway. In a moment of horror I feel my eyes, one after another, being ripped from my skull. I start to scream. The pain is too much. I can only feel its nails scraping the sides of my torso clean. I scream until my heart is torn from my body and placed neatly in my hands to be found the next morning.
Hi guys! I have officially decided to start posting my stories here (short stories)! These will all be between 1,000 and 3,000 words and have been previously posted to my Reedsy account.
I haven't done one of these in a while and I'm hoping posting them where more people can see will motivate me more this year.
These are mostly used as writing exercises for me and are usually written within a few days to a week. Most of these will be horror, content and trigger warnings will be included in the intro as well as the prompt the story was posted under.
Trying to get my work out there so let me know where to post if you guys want to read it! I know Wattpad is getting further and further away from what it used to be with the ads and all that, so I want to make my works more accessible to readers! 💕
