Petal looks up at the anon, before giving a big smile and proceeds to do in some loops and tricks in the air.
"Do I miss being able to feel happiness easily...?....You cannot imagine how much I miss not feeling this empty inside... I miss not feeling like I'm fading away..."
Lillian, it seems Petal has changed her color again to celebrate the upcoming Christmas holiday. She is now Mistletoe Petal!

She just sobs. Is this because of the times she failed to find a way to make Lillian smile?

There was a shriek as the other addressed the ghost, who had done her very best to hide away from a distance behind a bush, while still being able to watch everybody come in and admire and envy their outfits. She had however, missed seeing Lutea make her way over to her.
Why had she come? Petal convinced her too, as much as she didnât want to. Sheâs shivering as the other looks at her, backing away a bit.
If Lillian was capable of breathing, sheâd sigh. âThereâs only one being really who can, and sheâs the only reason Iâm here⌠Sheâs the only thing keeping me from forgetting positive emotions completely.â
âWell, stick with her, then.â
She would have given Lillian a reassuring pat, but she knew she wouldnât be able to feel it. But⌠if she could make herself incorporeal to most, then perhaps she would be able to touch the ghost.
She held out her hand to Lillian, not yet employing any tricks. âTry to touch it.â
She looked rather annoyed at the command. Seriously? Sheâs a ghost. How does this stranger expect her to touch their hand? She went ahead and waved her hand though the otherâs up and down, not understanding what the point of this was.
Once she was finished, she made herself incorporeal, unable to be touched⌠At least, hopefully to all but Lillian. Her hand remained outstretched and she gave Lillian a subtle smile.
âNow, try again.â
She groaned, reaching her arm out again.âWhy? I just showed you, I canât-â
She was silenced as her hand the otherâs, eye widening and staring at their contact.
Lillianâs hand felt cold and a tad bit stiff, trembling a little from the shock of being able to feel the other.
Lutea seemed shocked that it had worked as well, though her shock didnât come close to Lillianâs. Luteaâs magic hand, in contrast to Lillianâs was soft and quite warm.
âHolyâŚâ she whispered in astonishment.
The trembling increased, causing Lillian to wonder just what had decided to come up and talk to her. She looked a little scared. Was this being just... able turn back and forth between life and death?!
"You got a little something on your- Wait, are you okay?" ->Lutea

âMy dateâs not here, and might not even come for all I know. Iâve got nothing better to do.â
At that point, she noticed the slight transparency of the girl before her.
âIâm guessing youâre dead? That would explain why you havenât been âokayâ in a while.â
She didnât even answer that question, simply crossing her arms and looking away. Why wouldnât they just leave to go enjoy the ball? Thatâs where she belonged. Not out here talking to a tired spirit who had wanted to stay away from everybody!
âNot much for talking, eh?â
She herself stayed silent for a while. Her lone arm peeked out and adjusted the hat on her head.
âY'know, if I were dead, Iâd appreciate if someone asked if I was okay.â
âYouâd think that.â She responded. âYouâd really, really think that, but you have no idea how bloody complicated it is to even remember how to feel anything positive. At first, you do remember. Then it slowly fades. You think I donât want to feel appreciative? And how positive can I be when I was murdered on my very birthday?â

âAll of those outfits and masks are fantastic. I hate how much freedom these people have with their appearance.â
She hadnât wanted to be here, but here she was. Why? Petal had made that homemade mask, how could she say no?
She decided against entering the castle, however. She wasnât really properly attired, after all. Not like there was much she could do to fix that. At least watching the others provided some form of entertainment as they entered in or through a window. Petal had went ahead and sneaked in, despite only having an oversized homemade mask (what she ad made for Lillian) as any sort of attire. Then again, proper attire for this wasnât really available to either of them. But with Petalâs constant efforts to make Lillian smile, she deserved this.
Being dead, Lillian can barely find anything that could possibly make her happy anymore, aside from little Petal. Petal just wants to get Lillian to smile as much as she can! Perhaps making her a homemade mask with some stuff from around the house so she could join a certain Masquerade Ball would do the trick?
âŚProbably not, given an un-removable blood-stained gown doesnât seem to be the best attire for a ball. But Lillian does like the mask though, at least. Maybe she will go with Petal to check it out, from a distance, at least. No need to scare everyone, being a ghost and all.
Okay yeah, a little odd to start my artwork for this event with my fc who canât change clothes, but I imagined Petal making a mask for Lillian to make her happy, and it resulted in this.

Lillian just watched from where she floated at her window. She could get Petal to go and investigate who this was, but at the same time, she had no particular interest to meet someone new. Unless this being came to explore the worn cottage, Lillian would have no want to interact at all.
