“it… worked, yeah,” she nods slowly. ryan doesn’t exactly know how to handle compliments on the best of days so hearing them from bruna has her balancing between being uncomfortable and endearment. if this had been anyone else she probably would have bolted by now, yet here she is; practically a muddle of awkward on the floor. “i swear, if you make even one short joke right now i’ll throw a spanner at your head,” she grumbles, though it’s obvious that it’s all in jest. though, to be fair, ryan has thrown many an object at bruna for bringing up her… lack of height. “all i’m hearing is that wasn’t a no to the badges,” the irish wolf then points out, a slight smirk tugging the corner of her lips. “i can see you in a muted yellow, maybe? or even pastel blue. maybe you should dig through my wardrobe and pick something that tickles your pickle,” she then continues, laughing at her own joke. she leans in and places a soft kiss just below the cuban’s ear. “i was thinking more along the lines of light green, but i think i can settle for dark green because i know it’ll look fuckin’ great on you. it’s actually unfair,” she grumbles. god, she’s too beautiful.
“it’s not that i don’t want to show you, it’s just… i’m weird,” she flaps her hands through the air as if that would explain everything. she would want nothing more than to invite in to see her works and, despite showing her the odd one here and there, she’s never shown the ones that she had given her whole heart and soul to. those pieces of art - the ones that helped her cope when nothing else would. those are the pieces that she has trouble letting others see. she lifts a hand and gently caresses the woman’s jawline with her thumb, smiling softly. “i’ll work on it… promise,” she mumbles. “because i know you?” she then shrugs, dropping her hand back down, though she soon finds her hands preoccupied with bruna’s. “a hot woman fixing a car? babe, who on this fuckin’ earth would have a problem with that? i’m ready when you are.”
“i’m pretty sure that you wouldn’t even be able to throw it that far -- you know, short people also tend to have short arms, thus, your... so-called wingspan wouldn’t be suitable for long distance throws,” and just like that, she delivered. this might have been a complete and utter joke, on bruna’s part, but her rather serious voice could have indicated something different. still, she wouldn’t ever dare to cross the line, and seriously offend the other woman, but if it was in a joking manner? the limit of things she could have said had no limit. the limit simply never existed. “right. i didn’t say no, but i didn’t say yes, either -- take it as you want,” the wolf then countered, “i don’t know... do you think this would make for a good spectacle? me, you... trying to find a smidge of style for me? i think yes. i would be down for that, as long as i still get to veto the outfits that i am going to feel ridiculous in,” balancing it out, bruna could only do so much as to agree to whatever ryan had possibly planned for them to do. because, after all, the more time they’ve spend together, the better. and bruna, at this point, was sure there was no such thing as being too long in a one place, with the same person. especially if it was someone she had feelings for. “anything goes, babe.” does it really, though?
“--- it’s okay, don’t... think too much about it. take your time. everything is and will be more than just fine, i can promise you that,” still mentally kicking herself for even bringing it up, bruna reassured ryan that whatever she decides is going to be more than fine with her. they had time. she definitely could wait. but now, the question was... for how long? would the anticipation make her feel somewhat antsy? would it even make her feel anything? after recalling the last time her girlfriend had showed her a piece that mattered the world to her, bruna ended up with tears in her eyes, so... sure, even if she didn’t know what kind of effect it was going to have on her, she was merely convinced that it was still going to make her feel something whether she liked it or not. “fuck yeah, you do!” she called out, snickering mostly to herself as she lead ryan towards the car, letting go of her hand only to open up the hood once again. “there’s still so much shit to do, but trust me -- if you’ve seen how its looked before, i’m sure you would be able to tell that something bad happened in there...” bruna grumbles, leaning towards the engine, pointing at it with her finger, “but, yeah -- i am definitely getting there. still needs a few days, but it should be as good as new once i am done with it. not sure if i’ll be ready to part with this baby, just like that, though.” she mused, patting the side of the car, like a big nerd she was.
