Colton glanced at the display of her very thin shoe, a bit amazed that something like that was created. He gave a nod, adding as well: “No doubt helps you get with the flow of it. One of my friends mentioned something called ‘socks’... I hope it’s not related to shoes, learning about footwear is draining”.

Although he found Alani’s arm wiggling a bit too amusing, the elf outwardly did not say a word. Giggling at newly met people was a no-no. “You know what also baffles me? Hats. My people had cowls and circlets... but then you see T’mara, Orendi, Montana... and they wear hats! What do they even do?”

“They... yeah, stuck to themselves. Except when the Eldrid needed help. My people always had people ready to help...” Colton trailed off with that thought, he knew Alani was apart of the Eldrid faction; displaying his suspicions... wouldn’t help. He continued, answering her thought: “It has been... socializing with people is tough. Yes. But... people like Pendles and Damon, they make it easier. Heck, those two make it look easy, like I’m afraid of nothing”.

“Ah... yeah, I did”. Colton wasn’t going to hide the fact he picked it off a UPR aligned person, although hiding no shame, it still felt embarrassing compared to the sharpshooter. He himself was more used to daggers and swords, what his own father taught him. The elf had held a rifle once... and this was no rifle, even the novice knew that much. However, he did open his eyes wide in awe as T’mara displayed her own preferred choice of sidearms. They certainly made the UPR sidearm dull in comparison! “Wow... amazing doesn’t put them into enough words. Did you craft them yourself?”

There’s an audible gasp from the elf, absolutely taken by surprised by the king’s sheer luck in the matter. But this of course enticed the more important line of questioning one would have in response to this: “Soft or hard shell?”

But yes, my friend, I’d like one!” Colton accepted the man’s offer of a taco, having at least an idea what it would entail. Luckily for the elf, his people’s diet happened to include omnivore tendencies... exactly the example he knew of. The fellow Rogue didn’t hesitate to take a bite of his own.

“What… What do I want?” The words came off of Colton’s tongue like copper, unsure how to take them. No one ever… asked him, what he wanted. After taking a moment to pause, to think… he replies back: “I want… What I want, is to make my mark in this faction. To be useful… and to, make friends, to not be alone. I guess you could shorten that to, status and friendship”.

“My ah… dad had a big positive impact on my life, made me glance at life in a different way. Better than I did before”. The elf murmured his answer back, it was always hard to openly speak of his deceased relative, always will be.

“I suppose… the Eldrid representatives of my home world, with how secretive they were. I mean, I’ll still work with Eldrid Battleborn, they won’t have any trouble with me… But, it’s hard to forget, y’know? My parents placed a lot of trust in them…” The Rogue gave a sheepish shy, before ending his response.
