Loved this post, had to Repost from @dr.viejitoperez Lesson 2: Self care is crucial I spend a lot of time taking care of other people and helping them grow and flourish. When so much of your life is about you pouring yourself out, you need to make sure you are being poured into by others. What are the things that bring you joy? Who are the people that can refresh you after frustrating days? What brings you peace and tranquility? Do those things! And do them often! Where’s your happy place? I know for me, @papajuancigarroombx is mine. I’ve burned myself out before because I neglected taking care of self, and in the end that wasn’t selfless of me but selfish. You cannot spark a flame in others if your fire is dead.

This is my friend and brother Najja who is an Inspiration to many! He is From Miami, Florida and he is a Soccer Coach/Personal Trainer. He loves his family and friends, but believes family is who you ride with! And we should Surround ourselves with power. He loves Soccer, snowboarding, video games, and did I mention Soccer. He can do a standing tuck, a pretty good break dancer, and he has been snowboarding for over 18 years. If there's a few things Najja can say is Live Life as if on purpose. If there's one thing I want to be known for it would be for the Socks I wear. Okay I'm kidding But on a serious note I realize that many of us have Potential to do so many things in life but we at times don't take the Actual steps to live it out. Potential is Awesome but how about we make that Potential a Reality. You might be afraid to take steps because of the WHAT IFs in a negative way like What if it Doesn't go your way? What if it fails? What if I don't get paid to do what I love? What if I don't become successful? And the list goes on but let me ask You This, WHAT IF IT DOES WORK? I met Antigone the last time I was NYC and what an Awesome and Unique name she has. She was Born in Kansas, but claims Maryland as her home state. She is a full time Teacher in the 7th Grade level teaching Mathematics. Family is everything to her. She is extremely caring and will drop everything to help with family in a heartbeat. Some of the many hobbies she has is Baking, Cooking, Singing, and Photography. Antigone loves to Latin dance whether is with Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue. My brother once told me these words, "I love your passion for whatever you set your goal on. You have a heart for the people, which is virtually impossible to have these days. But somehow you can understand people, even better than they understand themselves". I am truly humbled to hear those words and I am honored to call him my brother. Those words are more than enough for me to continue to do what I'm doing, I must be doing something right. I met Daniel randomly but definitely not accidentally the last time I went to NYC, God knows all! He is from Long beach, California but grew up in Huntington Beach in Southern California. He was visiting family in New York and ended up gaining friends along the way. He is a Spiritual Advisor and Actor in the entertainment industry. He has always been a Family and Friends person since he enjoys time with them. Some of the many things he does is Dancing (Step Dance), Martial Arts, Loves Exploring the City, he's been on TV shows for dancing, and likes to Watch Drifting in his free time. Also he watches a lot of Chinese Drama while at the same time Speaks the language. He knows how to Surf and has been traveling sometime while enjoying places like Taiwan. Daniel is a big believer in the fact that God did not come to establish churches but to establish a movement. If theres a thing or two he can say is to stay obedient to the Lord and to work hard in our prayer life, everything that we are looking for in life comes from an intimate prayer life.
