For Mother's Day weekend, my wife Karen wanted to go camping for the first time with our new Jayco travel trailer. We had purchased a new 2025 Jay Flight SLX 175FQ at an end-of-season sale, but it didn't leave the lot until this spring. Given this was a new, untested camper where anything can go wrong, we decided to stick close to Sioux Falls and reserved camping spots at Palisades State Park.

One of those "is it you or is it me" inquiries. Here at the house we experienced an overnight Internet outage. Now back online, there are certain servers I can't reach. Is there some regional Internet outage I don't know about? Can't find any reports of major outages.

Latest addition to my 2017 Spyder RT, a USA LED flag! I bought it a couple years ago, but postponed installing it until I was comfortable enough to figure out the wiring and body panel removal. It's unfortunate there is currently a dark cloud hanging over the country but I'm hopeful for better days.

Today, I tempt fate by storing away my snow blower in the garage and bringing out the lawn mower.

I have to admit I never appreciated plumbers and the complexity of troubleshooting a leaky toilet until I worked on them myself. After replacing the fill valve, I ended up replacing the flush valve too which also required separating the tank from the bowl to replace the tank-to-bowl gasket.
