Things I plan to teach my daughter: - I grew up with an overabundance of self confidence, I never doubted how handsome, smart, or cool I was, and I want to pass that to you. Make the most of your body. Run, swim, cycle, climb, and go on adventures! Don't get caught up in what others think of you or your image, and never doubt your worth. There's going to be a time when you're old, you'll look back, and if you're not confident now, you'll end up lamentng not loving, and accepting your body when it was still youthful, and beautiful. Don't let that happen. -Unless you plan to be an engineer, doctor, attorney, or other specialized field, College just isn't necessary. I didn't go to college, your mom didn't either; The most successful people I know never went to college; it's a great way to accumulate debt, but it's just not as important as you might think. -Be charitable. Look after yourself, and your loved ones, but always be of service to others. There is no greater puropse, or aspiration than helping people, whether it's through your time, or talents, be sure you are doing all you can to help people. -Be happy, and grateful for what you have, but always aspire for more. It's important to appreciate what you have, and not be greedy, but you should Never settle. There's no reason you can't have everything you desire. -Which leads us to.... -You want to achieve your dreams? You can. You can have anything if you're willing to work for it. Nothing should be handed to you, and you should take nothing for granted. It doesn't matter where you start, opportunities are all around you, you just need to Look for them. -Be an example to the world. You're so smart, beautiful, and talented, and you'll be growing up in a time of Social Media and openness your mother and I never could have imagined when we were young; As such it is so important that you Always be a positive element in people's lives, both personally, and through social media. Finally, You are loved. Unconditionally, and completely. Your mother and I will always be here for you. Your extended family loves you, and God loves you. We're all here to help, support, and encourage you. We are so excited to see how you grow, all the good you will do, never underestimate yourself; I know you're destined for greatness.
