Okay, so I have $12 in cash left in my wallet, and I think $20 in my checking account... that should be enough to get three more nice gifts, right? Because if not, I need to pick a favorite and... well... I really don’t want to do that. Why is Christmas so close? If I just had, say, another week to do Christmas shopping my life would just be that much easier.

Not really, I like both. When I have kids I’m just going to continue the Chrismukkah tradition. We’re friends, aren’t we? Friends give each other gifts. Not that I expect to get something back, so don’t worry about that. Yea, she is, but my Aunt Santana told her she can’t come anywhere near the karaoke set. Not sure how that will end, since both of them can get really scary.

I’m sure they’ll love that, getting Christmas gifts after a whole 8 days of gifts as well. Plus all the traditions and stuff, it’s like a 2 for 1 deal. Of course we’re friends, and you have a very good point. Alright, I won’t, but I guess you’ll find yourself surprised when you get there. So that means, a long with delayed hawk screeching, there’s gonna be a fight? Yep, totally gonna find a hiding place and a way to drown all of that out. You’re welcome to join me to take cover yourself.

No, we have all the traditions, every fun aspect the holidays have to offer is included basically. Oh, that reminds me, I should bring your gift with me to the party so you can actually open it on Christmas, rather than after. Trust me, he’s pretty embarrassing, i just hope mom keeps him away from the alcohol, especially since I’ve heard that there will be Christmas karaoke.

That sounds like it’s really fun, getting to celebrate and learn both sides of the two most celebrated religions. Is there one of the two you prefer at all? Oh, yea, that’s probably a really good idea. And very sweet of you, you didn’t have to get me a gift, Laura. Christmas karaoke? Oh god... better question, is your Aunt Rachel gonna be there? Because from what I hear, that might be a bigger worry.

We celebrate both, taking the best holiday that christianity and judaism have to offer basically. Eight days of presents, followed by a day of many presents. My parents couldn’t decide on whether to raise us jewish or catholic, so the holidays used to be a struggle until we came to the conclusion that we could make life easier by celebrating both. No, it won’t, and even if it would, my parents love parties so I’m sure we would go either way. Fingers crossed dad won’t do anything embarrassing, honestly.

It was a joke, Bryson… No, I don’t, but you should probably keep quiet about that at the party, since my Aunt Brittany and Riley do.

Just the presents stuff? Do you guys do any of the other included traditions of the two of them? You know, like the menorah stuff? And the Christmas tree? And the manger thing? Well, at least you guys found something easier for yourselves. That’s what the holidays are about anyway. Being with family, and things just being chill. Great, then I guess i’ll be seeing you there. And no worries, there’s no way your dad can be more embarrassing than either of my parents, or any of my brothers. Worse comes to worse, just gotta find a place to hide until his embarrassing stuff blows over, ha.

Oh, okay. And yea good point, no Santa talk. The last thing we need is to upset the Lopez clan by letting that cat out of it’s bag.

Merry Chrismukkah everyone! …Or just Christmas and Hanukkah, for those of you who only celebrate one of my favorite holidays of the year. I don’t know about you guys but I’m stoked about eight days of presents, the giving and admittedly also the receiving aspect of it all. Let’s see if being a good girl this year wil finally pay off.

Chrismukkah? That’s an interesting way of saying you celebrate both. Do you do anything special for “Chrismukkah” or do you just celebrate both as you would celebrate them normally? And going to the Lopez party tonight won’t mess it up, will it? Assuming you’re going tonight.... are you going tonight?

It’s really interesting to get into, especially all the legends of the different Pokemon regions. Fans also have very interesting theories about the series. It’s really sad, though, them only being able to give life by losing their own. Some species in the world are like that. At least that’s what I think my biology teacher said. Sometimes sad things need to happen in order for life to go on, or whatever. I said it was interesting, being interested in something enough to learn about it yourself, and finding something interesting are two different things. I do, yea. But a little extra knowledge couldn’t hurt.

I’m not sure, I think it’s just the way it is with their species. And obviously they do that to feel closer to their mom, carry a part of her with them as well as the only way for their mom to still protect them from harm. Really? You think that’s interesting? That’s kinda surprising to hear…

Oh, well, I figured the creators went so in depth with it maybe something like that could have an answer. I guess I can’t blame them, if my mother died before I was born I’d probably want something to know her by as well. Plus that’s totally cool it keeps them safe, it’s like she’s taking care of them from beyond the grave or whatever. Yea, that a video game goes that deep into small things like that? That’s pretty cool... why is it surprising to hear?

So, he’s like the loner dorkus of the Pokemon universe? Yea maybe, it takes loners a little while to warm up to other people and stuff. It’s probably the same for Pokemon loners. I’m sure your best will be more than enough.

Bingo! Yes, my angel most certainly is, and um yes, sorta.. you probably think that’s really lame so I don’t wanna bore you by like, talking about it too much?? Cubone’s story is kinda different, though. Pokemon lay eggs, but mothers of Cubone’s die giving birth to them. When the egg hatches, the baby pokemon puts the skull of it’s deceased mother on it’s head. They’re orphans, and are known to be very lonely and cry a lot. The stains on it’s skull are actually from it’s tears. It’s really sad… but I’m boring you a lot, aren’t I? Sorry, sorry, I’ll shut up about it now..

I guess so, I will take good care of him and hopefully make him feel less lonely in the world.

That is a lot of angst for a tiny little Pokemon. I can see why it made you so sad... Why does the mother die right away? Or are my questions getting too technical now? And what’s it’s purpose behind putting on the skull head? Nah, it’s not boring. You seem to know a lot about this stuff. Like a lot. My knowledge of that game doesn’t extent passed the very basics, so hearing it so in depth is kind of interesting.

He’s totally got your other Pokemon to hang out with too, right? Can they do that? Plus, you seem to know what you’re doing, he’s probably in very good hands.

I just hatched a Cubone and he’s the most adorable and precious thing, but I kinda don’t know whether to be happy or sad about it. Or am I the only one who always gets all the feels when they see a Cubone? Such a tiny little man, all alone in the world, wearing his dead mother’s skull…

…And there I go again, ugly sobbing… If only I could just give him all the cuddles right now…

That’s a Pokemon, right? Are you playing Pokemon Go or something? Or is it one of the Pokemon games that doesn’t require constant movement to actually play it? And aren’t all Pokemon alone until you catch them? Or do I just not understand the game...?

Yikes, perk up. You could look at it this way, he’s not alone anymore because you caught him? ... That’s probably not much help, I’m sorry.
