I had an experience that hit wrong. I joined YT, IG & X yrs ago to promo the many musical artists I've come across for 15 yrs or so. I'd always been meticulous about not sexualizing my follows but times change, words change. Word of the day - GAY. That used to mean fun, party, etc as in the Flintstones theme song - we'll have a gay old time. Getting off track where I want to go. I recognized long ago that my words were not getting out due to the many changes that the Social Media have instituted. It seems that the only way to be seen is to like, follow, post a comment and hope that you will get a follow back to be moots. That is how the algorithm works for people to get views. I've followed many here on Tumblr since I finally got my account back out of limbo. Now, as to the experience - I just followed a 20 something and commented how pretty she was and she said I was gross. I follow the creed, don't report, block. I didn't block her btw. In the last 10 yrs I haven't reported any account. I also have not responded to the comment that said I was gross for following someone that could be my granddaughter. WAKE UP...to get follows and shares, create moots. 'nuff said.
