Accidental side effect of giving Kit fibromyalgia is that when the body swap happens?
Zenos is going to discover his greatest enemy is doing all this impressive combat stuff while her body is fighting against her, giving her constant pain.
He is 100% going to get hornier for her and wonât shut up about it.
I was reading a thing where an American was saying that Europeans are weird for putting butter in sandwiches and like ??
So, do Americans not put butter in their sandwiches? Like, I get if youâre having cream cheese, or PB&J or something else with a bit of moisture in it, I donât have butter with that either, but what if you were having, say, a cheese sandwich, a normal one made with just cheese, Iâm assuming you wouldnât have a slice of cheese between two bits of dry bread. So what would you have? Do you use something instead of butter/margarine, or do you just not have that kind of a sandwich?
This might seem a random question, but I actually need to know this for the purpose of writing fanfic.
Do you have butter/margarine in sandwiches?
Yes (American)
No (American)
Yes (not American)
No (not American)
Usually I think we put some configuration of ketchup, mustard or mayonnaise. We do not as a rule just do dry bread, but butter is not a default condiment.
HOWEVER I think this has changed with time. I remember watching my grandmother (born in 1912) put butter on a tuna salad sandwich and I was horrified. And my dad was like yeah well she's from an era when you would never make a sandwich with dry bread, and I was like it's tuna! It's got mayonnaise! ...it was pretty good though.
I also think we don't usually eat "a normal [sandwich] made just with cheese." For me, a sandwich has to have at least two things in it. So cheese and meat, or my mom used to make cheese and tomato and pickled artichoke heart, or cheese and avocado. The first needs extra condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise - I like horseradish and sometimes Sriracha, the other one likes barbecue sauce etc) the second two don't because they're already moist (though putting pesto on a tomato and cheese sandwich is never a bad idea). A cheese and butter sandwich does not sound super great to me, because where does the flavor come from? But American cheeses are less flavorful than European ones anyway. Unless it's melted, of course, in which case, what's the butter for?
Anyway my point is we don't just eat dry bread, but butter doesn't tend to be a default condiment. We use ketchup instead.

Gridania's government is such a mess how many other unincorporated settlements exist in the black shroud completely at peace with the elementals no Padjal or official hearer in sight that they just don't know about.
So much this. Isoldahliaâs settlement gets on just fine with the elementals.
Isoldahlia đ€ Deidre
(what the fuck are they doing over there. why in the star is this so difficult for you people?? You know what maybe it's best None of you know where I'm from actually-)
Will it take ages to get to? Yes.
But do I have a scene planned with Kit where she gets to call out the Gridanian healing policy, squash inaccurate beliefs about Elementals AND show off white mage skills? Absolutely.
Kit may be from La Noscea but she agrees with the others about, "what the fuck is WRONG with you people?!?"
Hancock Headcanon
So, as much as I loathe Lolorito, Hancock has proven to be quite intriguing.
And yâknow what would be extra interesting? If Hancock is...Shall we say working on strengthening his position as a merchant and trader within Kugane and farther East.
It would certainly explain why he goes to all the extra trouble of helping you. Having the Warrior of Light on your side certainly has some benefits.
Personally, Kit would absolutely be suspicious from Day 1, but also smart enough to strike Hancock a deal prior to leaving Alphinaud and Tataru alone with him. Those two get hurt, his throat gets slit. Those two are fine? He gets knowledge on potential trade routes that have been closed for years with the stipulation those are for Hancockâs usage, rather than East Aldenard Trading Company.
Afterwards, further interactions are basically, âThere is little trust but we can agree that thereâs multiple ways to tip power scalesâ
WAIT IF YOU DECIDE TO EXECUTE YUYUHASE AND LAURENTITIS RAUBAHN AGREES?!
I WAS EXPECTING TO BE CALLED OUT FOR THAT DECISION
...Okay, how about this. Iâll go against my irl values and vote for execution IF we include Lolorito in this. Do we have a deal Raubahn?
So the leather jacket and shirt you get in Eureka make Kit look tiny.
In all the cloaks and armor sheâs fairly imposing, especially since sheâs fairly tall for a female Miqoâte.
But like, Estinien or Aymeric could probably wrap their hands around her waist easy.
Okay I admittedly finished off the level 60 Hildibrand quests without further âlive bloggingâ BUT some final thoughts and spoilers under the cut:
-Gigi = Vivi makes so much sense and I love that they managed to work in Viviâs main story beats into a HILDIBRAND questline while still making it work?
-Also yes I cried when Gigi sacrificed himself, and Iâm preeeeeeetty certain the track that played was from Final Fantasy IX. I need to actually get farther than an hour or two into that game...
-I maintain that Hildibrand and Nashu would not make terrible parents; they just need someone still connected to reality like Briardien or Cyr around to make certain they donât accidentally give the kid brain damage.
-I fear Julyan more than I fear Godbert
-I do like that Cyr actually figured out that Inquisitors are bad and no longer require him drop kicked off the Steps of Faith.
-It still would have been funny if Godbert knocked some sense into him.
-Sorry Dust Spriggan, Gigi now gets to hang out with me. I ALSO LOVE HOW THE LITTLE MINION STILL DOES THE ANXIOUS HAT TWIST.
-WHAT WRITER HAS A MASSAGE KINK AND HOW DO I GET THEM TO FIND OTHER OUTLETS FOR IT
Overall, I really enjoyed this Hildibrand questline for the hilarity of Edmont trolling Inquisitors, Hildibrand learning how to adult sort of, the dangers of Gazebos, and for its success in balancing out the typical G-Mod comedy of Hildibrand quests with the tragedy of Vivi. It can be extremely difficult to balance tragedy with comedy especially when operating on extremes but the writers managed it in my personal opinion!
The Life of a Manderville Mammet
Not stopping the Hildibrand train just yet.
Letâs see if we can bully Cyr some more!

The Adventures of Gigi
Hildibrand quest spoilers! This is sort of a...Live Blog? Well not really.
Basically me rambling about part TWO of the level 60 Hildibrand questline
I donât know whatâs funnier: Imagining a high pitched voice or some sort of demonic gravelly voice saying that.
You have negative braincells.
Though gotta say, I love that Gigi has learned to pose. Adorable. I love this demon Mammet/Black Mage.
Oh ew, right, Iâm helping out the church guy.
Yâknow what, weâre going to go with âhelpingâ. Is Kit ACTUALLY helping? Nah. Sheâs just waiting for Lucia to be done with the review of the Inquisitors that got pushed to the back of the pile.
I AM PRETTY CERTAIN GIGIâS GENDER IS MURDER AND ANGST BUT THAT COULD JUST BE ME EXTRAPOLATING FROM FINAL FANTASY IX.
...Is this quest gonna be figuring out Gigiâs gender?
Is that what weâre doing today? Edmont: (shows up wondering whatâs going on) Kit: Oh hey Dad. Cyr: ... Cyr: ... Cyr: ...Wha- Kit: Youâre really behind on Ishgardian gossip.
NO, EDMONT JUST HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR UNLIKE YOU GO BACK TO FUCKING BLAZBLUE OR WHATEVER FIGHTING GAME YOUâRE FROM
Kit: Think of it this way, at least your parents wonât have to demand grandchildren! Edmont: (nodding solemnly) Precisely. Would reduce their woes. Cyr: This cannot be happening. Is all of Ishgard mad?
Edmont you cheeky shit.
PAPA HILDY?!
GIGI IS SAYING PAPA HILDY?!
THATâS FUCKING ADORABLE.
Hildibrand thatâs the Catholic Ishgardian Church. Hildraband, I already exposed its corruption. Hildibrand, what are you and your negative braincells about to do? I think in the moment where it was just Gigi and Cyr, Gigi should have looked at Cyr, gone, âHalone has no place for you in her halls.â Then trotted off. For uh, reasons.
I am the warrior of light and I will fucking stab you.
owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Okay Gigi running off is hitting the feels/
Bonus:
Cyr: Okay, just so weâre clear--you do agree that itâs a mammet, right? You donât honestly believe that, you know... Kit: (straightfaced) Gigi is a child of House Manderville, or did you forget that? Cyr: (internal screaming)
Can I just do the rest of the MSQ like this?
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaase
Like, what if when Fourchenault disowns the twins I just turn into a wraith and make him shriek, that would be cool.
Kit: (On the verge of having the fifth mental breakdown this week) No idea what youâre talking about.
Kit: Well Iâm certainly standing, thatâs for certain.
Oh come on, no dry quips about precisely how âunbrokenâ the wol actually is.
