Fun fact of the day: the manga characters that Nakamura reads are voiced by Nakamura and Hirose's drama CD VAs!

Nakamura's drama cd VA is Kappei Yamaguchi who voiced characters like Inuyasha, Ranma Saotome, L, etc.

Hirose's drama CD VA is Junko Takeuchi who voiced Naruto Uzumaki, Mokuba Kaiba, Gomamon, etc.

The production staff did say that Yamaguchi and Takeuchi would have a role in the anime adaptation...and it turns out to be them...

“I thought we were already friends” leading into that ED.. omg I’m screaming, this is the cutest scene of the show so far. Nakamura did all that worrying and planning and the whole time Hirose has considered them friends and he’s become a safe space for Hirose!

I've been waiting for this episode. Hirose hasn't really been a full character up till now. We get to know so much about him! He likes crabs, he doesn't really enjoy dirty jokes, he feels like he can't keep up sometimes but he can't say no. So far, Hirose has felt so out of reach. But now we see that he's just a kid.

Another thing I genuinely love about Hirose's characterisation is that he doesn't laugh off Nakamura's attempt at reaching out. He immediately sees how important this is to Nakamura, and he tries his best to show Nakamura, in his own way, that it's important to him too.
