I thought I‘d make an intro post! I‘m a 30-something artist who previously gave up on art and is trying again. I‘m interested in character design, visdev and comics (currently all behind the scenes but I wanna share more stuff soon!). Plus, of course, making fanart of whatever I happen to like at the moment.

The answer is that I've been doing anatomy studies regularly (it really helps, who would have thought...) then I have a couple sketches that suck, and when I have something I like - I go in with kneaded eraser and redraw until I'm happy (it's a bit like dimming opacity of your sketch IRL)

Currently trying to figure out some direction and focus for my art: I really like campy, colorful stuff but also cosmic horror/mythology and I have a soft spot for coming of age stories.

I don't know how these all go together but I really want to commit to my comic this year and start finding out. :| It doesn't have a title yet but I've been calling it "magic treehouse comic" in my head.

This is a bit of an accountability post for myself because I feel so awkward about my own stuff and keep procrastinating.🤦‍♀️ But this is the year!!
