Words to replace said, except this actually helps
I got pretty fed up with looking for words to replace said because they werenât sorted in a way I could easily use/find them for the right time. So I did some myself.

Better Together Note Pouch v5
Iâm not the greatest Photoshop user, so I apologise for that but I at least wanted to try and make this⌠pretty? Haha.
Whatever the case is, I know that many people use Moleskines and Leuchtturm 1917s on this site. However, I know that there are many people who also cannot afford to buy some of these notebooks because theyâre way out of their price range.
There are many wonderful notebooks that you can look into, however, that are under 10 USD. Speaking of, I have put them in USD so I apologise for those who may have to do some converting (though HEMA is in GBP because as far as I know, they donât exist in the United Statesâ).
As someone who adores buying notebooks (trust me, I have a giant storage box of stationery that is overflowing⌠I do not have a problem), Iâm always on the lookout for any good notebooks that are budget-friendly, especially if they come in packs.
I should also mention⌠you should most definitely check out budget-friendly shops such as TJ Maxx (or in the United Kingdom, TK Maxx) and head over to their stationery section. Sometimes you will see high quality notebooks for dirt cheap! Believe it or not, I only really buy Moleskines from places like these because I donât really feel that itâs worth paying them for their regular price otherwise.
I would also recommend checking out some of the notebooks you might just run across at a random shop, because you never know if you like the feel of a paper. For example, the notebook I am currently using for journalling is from a Romanian supermarket that I probably bought for about 1 GBP (probably not even). The paper quality is fantastic and my pens glide so smoothly across the pages!
Please feel free to let me know of any other brands that I should be aware of! Iâm more than happy to check them out. But ultimately, donât feel that you always have to go after the well-known brands. Sometimes, the really great ones are sitting around waiting for someone to pick them up and see their potential.

How To Be Productive
What you have to realize here is that thinking that you will do something or be productive is not simply enough. Notice that being productive doesnât mean exhausting yourself to finish all tasks in one day. So here are some tips on how to be productive.
1. Get started. Easier said than done, right? Still, youâll have to push yourself to get started. Why? Because once you start doing a particular task, you are more likely to finish it even if your brain makes other new goals. This is called the Zeigarnik Effect. The Zeigarnik Effect is the tendency to experience intrusive thoughts about an objective that was once pursued and left incomplete. In laymanâs terms, our automatic system signals our brain, if ever itâs focused on other things, that a certain task is not finish. You are likely to finish what you start and, if it is not finished, you experience discomfort.
2. Stop multitasking. You are less productive when you multitask. Why? When you multitask, you are more likely to be distracted, the encoded in formation in your head is more likely disorganized, and you are more likely terrible at switching from one task to another. Furthermore, multitasking will just hurt your performance and creates an illusion that makes you feel better.
3. Schedule your task. Or basically have planned tasks in chunks. This is similar in studying in chunks in my How to Study Smart masterpost. Studies show that you best encode information in repeated short training sessions. Therefore, in disciplined routines, you are working more without exhausting much energy.
4. Track your work. Tracking your work can help you disclipne yourself about your progress. This way, you more likely to be able to easily analyze your work and not the (inaccurate) assumption of work you might construe in your head. In tracking your work, you can discipline yourself to have routines.
5. Rest and have solitude. Yes, resting helps you to be productive. It helps you think and relax. You are more likely to remeber more details during your time alone. According to an article, a certain amount of solitude has been shown to help teenagers improve their moods and earn good grades in school. Solitude is nice, but donât overdo it. Resting is also nice, but you shouldnât overdo it either for obvious reasons.
