What is your best study advice?
To just start - we so often get caught up in perfecting our to-do lists, tidying our studying spaces, and worrying about getting an undesirable grade that we forget to actually start the assignment/homework/studying.
Word of the Day
노력 - Effort, Hard work, Endeavor
Examples:
좀 더 노력해 보세요 - Please work a bit harder, Please put in a little more effort
정말 노력한 보람이 있었어요 - The hard work was really worthwhile
노력한 만큼 결과가 나올 거예요 - The outcome will be as much as the effort you put in

So i took the weekend off, but now i’m back! Here’s the finished result of last weeks spread!
June 22 2018
It’s officially summer! I’m moving back to UCLA on sunday for summer sessions, I feel like this week has been really long but also really short hmm. I didn’t do much at all lol but it felt well deserved.
I’m also still waiting on some of my grades to be put in!! ALSO I GOT A NEW IPHONE because my 6s stopped charging and then died so now I have a shiny new iphone 8 in gold :-) but I bought it with my own money so my wallet is feeling really skinny
on another note my friend is giving me his MCAT study books so…I’ll be studying this summer…things are getting reAL

H Aspiré
30/7/2018
The “H Aspiré” is a really amazing part of the French language where specific “h”s that start a word cannot realize the liaison from the preceding word AND will not follow the “l + ‘+ h” pattern when preceded by a definite article (for example : le héros is correct but l’héros is not)
The “H Aspiré” (mostly) comes from Germanic languages where certain words were brought into the French language and therefor the “h” was “aspirated” (which was actually a voiceless glottal fricative until the 17th century). While linguists refer to the “H Aspiré” as “aspirated,” the “h” is no longer realized in speech and makes no sound.
**In quick speech, Francophones may accidentally make the liaison between a word and an “H Aspiré”.
A list of common “H Aspiré” words :
Hache (f.) - axe
Haïku (m) - haiku
Haine (f.) - hatred
Haïr - to hate
Hall (m.) - hall
Halloween (m.) - Halloween
Halo (m.) - halo
Hamac (m.) - hammock
Hamburger (m.) - hamburger
Hamster (m.) - Hamster
Hanche (f.) - hip
Handicap (m.) - handicap
Hanter - to haunt
Harasser - to exhaust/tire out
Harceler - to harass
Haricots (m.pl.) - beans
Harpe (f.) - harp
Hasard (m.) - luck/chance
Hérisson (m.) - hedgehog
Héros (m.) - hero
Hibou (m.) - owl
Hiérarchie (f.) - hiearchy
Hockey (m.) - hockey
Honte (f.) - shame
Hurler - to howl/scream
