Take It Easy On Me

Take a bite of my heart tonight. Blaine Anderson. Graduate of Dalton Academy in Westerville and past leader of the Warblers. Now studying Musical Theatre at the University of Washington and hoping to leave a reputation of leadership in my wake like I did back in Ohio.

I am beginning to think-

I will run his ass over if tries but I know that it won’t be easy. Its only a few months right? From now until mid December- minus weekends and thanksgiving, plus I only have to see him two days out of the five. I may make a list to cross off the days. Right? Its always been my favorite season.  I would love to invite you- and your guitar- to a writing session. I always write to music and having someone to bounce ideas off of is even better.

See, it's not that bad at all. You can do it, handsome. It's just a very comfortable season. You really wouldnt mind? I know that people like their quiet to write sometimes, so I would hate to bother you. Though, I would happily let you bounce ideas of me.

I just want this so bad, it kind of irks me that he could stand in the way because he’s been using the same syllabus since 1974. I’m the biggest fan of fall. I can’t wait to see what its like in Boston. I have a feeling there will be lots of afternoon writing sessions in a park coming on- with pumpkin coffee and pumpkin spice cupcakes…after stupid Rhetorical Theory.

You're not going to let him stand in your way though, right? Not if you want it so bad! Oh, fall is the best. The changing colors, the cooling breezes, the smells of food always. Nothing is better.  If you do plan a writing session, you should invite me. I can be super quiet and enjoy the time there, or I could bring my guitar. Let music give you inspiration.

I keep telling myself it’ll all be worth it when I get to see my shows on Broadway. I like it cupcakes are always a great incentive. If I make it through the class without falling asleep, I get a cupcake. Maybe some coffee as well. Fall is approaching which means the ushering in of pumpkin everything.

See, when you put it that way, it makes it ten times more bearable. At least, I think so. Cupcakes and coffee, probably one of the best combinations for college students really. I'm not the biggest fan of the pumpkin everything, but that just means you have to try harder not to fall asleep so you can get the drinks you like.

No, not really. I’d totally drop it but its a required course for my major and he’s the only one who teaches it- which should totally be illegal by the way. Mmm…I like how you think Anderson. Anything you can think of to do to fill that time?

You'll make it through. I'm sure of it. Of course, of course. I've been working on that for a year, it's how I get through my hardest classes. I usually plan to stop at a bakery after to get my daily dose of sugar. Nothing makes a long lecture better than a cupcake.

Friday is totally the best. Tuesdays/Thursdays I have a class with the most ancient teacher who could do so much more to make such a dry subject more exciting.

Oh, I guess it's sort of understandable then. But there's nothing you can really do about your predicament, so. You could always plan something for that afternoon after that class so you have something to look forward to to make time go a bit faster?

I’m going to loathe Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Why would you do that? At least they aren't Mondays where the day seems to drag on, though they sure aren't Friday!
