If I didn't make it obvious enough, I really love drawing bubbles. It's something that followed me even before in my art pieces. I guess it sorta transferred onto Tear specifically haha.
Literally frothing at the mouth right now at how beautiful this flippin' shading is! Oh my gerd it's so pretttttyy š„¹š„¹š„¹ Literally eating your art š¤¤š
I gotta know, was there a tutorial that taught you to shade like this? Or is it just an accumulated skill you've picked up through the years?
I wrote a whole rant on this in hopes it might be a bit inspirational. Turns out I had too much to say axsdsacszdfdscsz.
No, I almost never touch a single tutorial. Tutorials on animation, color, how to draw something etc are usually repetitive and, I don't mean this in a mean way, I don't think each artist knows how to teach. A lot of new or long time artists will make tutorials, but value you get from them is very much limited behind their skill. After 1 year of digital art I decided they weren't really worth it to me. I'm extremely picky with whose opinion I value when I see them. So, the only ones I watch are those that teach you how to use a program. What I used to do a lot however is watch a lot of videos where someone specifically observes the way an existing piece was done and does their own studies on it. How they theorize how something is achieved with color and/or why it happens. I love listening to artist's train of thinking as they work or try to learn from a piece. I firstly started art seriously by being a painter, before picking up digital art 1-2 years later. Color was always my biggest focus when it came to my art, to the point that I would look at anything outside and start guessing what mix of colors I would add to achieve its render, other then the obvious choice of 'this grass is green'. There will always be more in it such as blue, yellow, purple etc. Now it also transfers onto digital art that I see. When I like something, I tend to try to imagine how I would 'break it down' to achieve the same thing. A friend once said to me, that their main focus in art was drawing faster. Over the years they achieved it and said they gained a lot of speed, but their quality of art did not change. The reason I'm bringing this up is that you improve in things you focus on and spend time in the most. Having a focus point is really important and it's okay if they occasionally shift. Said focus should be something more long term. Due to how I started and what I improved at the time, painting (not digital) was my biggest strength. Reason I avoid saying rendering here is because I have old digital pieces like these. Both made somewhere at the beginning of Undertale. While my painting skills somewhat transferred, I cannot say the same for my flat shaded works. This is what I considered shaded.
but my main focus specifically was always colors/rendering. So that's what I have been pushing in art for years and still keep going at it. I also realized overtime that art I loved the most are those that used hours upon hours on rendering and it realistically was never the amount of time I was willing to put into my works before. So in the past I would try to lock myself to my chair. To not let myself finish the art if I spend anything under 1-2hours on rendering. At this time it was a really good practice because it forced me to look at my art and think how I could push it further when I had 0 ideas initially. I don't do that anymore. It's not something I advise doing, but it helped me get comfortable with adding way more detail then I used to.
Unrelated but a little unpopular opinion that comes from my experiences with art schools is that no one teaches you how to draw and I believe those that expect it can/will be disappointed. Art schools teach you how to use the tools. Two different things. They will expect you to put time and effort of your own into learning how to improve your art. That's also why it's important to constantly push your own self and choose advices you value. As well as understand advices are something that may work for some individuals but not for others. I forgot specific videos I used to watch, but the two artists I know I loved learning from a lot and can suggest are Kienan Lafferty and Ethan Backer on Youtube.

I was wonderingā¦.. what would Gotham!Kenny do if someone was trying to stop him from achieving his goal, but couldnāt be affected by his powers? Like would he go to measures on even trying to kill them?
Oh no, he wouldnāt resort to that! Heās not just persuasive with his eyes. As he likes to say, āyou catch more flies with honey than with vinegarāāif he canāt sway someone with his eyes, he can try with his words. He has a silver tongue in that mouth of his >v>

When he has someone coiled completely in his powerful hug, they melt physically and mentally in its soothing warmth and heavy thickness, and become totally relaxed at the slightest gentle squeeze. :)

nightmare is surprisingly good at dancing in a pair, but is less skilled at dancing alone
-meanwhile ink is much more skilled at dancing alone and struggles to grasp dancing with a partner
