Holy crap, he almost dropped the wrench into the engine and that wouldn’t have been good for anyone. He had been startled by the sudden contact from his brother. While he was ready to turn around and raise his voice at him, instead he just took a deep breath to calm himself before addressing him.

“...ya know better ‘en t’ suddenly jump out at m’ while ‘m workin’.” his voice wasn’t too serious, since he followed that up with a smile and a chuckle, now facing his younger brother.

“So, whatcha need?”

While he had been working on his latest project (nothing or importance really) a small hamster had somehow climbed on top of it. It was probably looking for something to eat. Luckily, Souda managed to grab it in time before it could fall. Would be a real mess if this poor thing got hurt.

Now holding the small ball of fuzz in his hand, he glanced down at it curiously.

“wait a minute...ya look familiar...”

The more he looked at the hamster, the sooner he realized where he had seen it before.

“Shit...yer Tanaka’s hamster, aren’tcha..?”

‘Great...sure hope I don’t get useless lecture for holding one of his ‘dark gods’.’

~♦~A soft sight escaped Souda’s lips after reading the message. He was...not upset but, now he understood what they meant when they say the farther apart you are form someone after having seen them practically everyday, the more you grown to miss their presence. There was never a moment those two didn’t spend together. Even during their days in high school they even sat next to each other every year. They ate lunch together and even spend times after school just goofing off doing well anything teenagers think about.

This thumb scrolling through the message once more, dark hues focusing more on the words even if the lenses of his glasses were making it difficult to see (seeing as how they needed to be cleaned again). 

“...he really needs t’ say these thin’s t’ m’ in person instead of a stupid message.”

There seemed to be a sort of irritation in his voice, but he was thankful that he was the only one to hear his vocalized thoughts.

Nanami’s handheld seemed to have suddenly stopped functioning, which had lead to her seeing the mechanic’s assistance. Once he held the device in his hands and examined it visually, he chuckled since it didn’t seem to be anything drastic he had to do.

“Ya can e’en watch if ya like, Nanami.”

~♦~ Well talk about wanted surprises!

At first his intent was to get the brunet to irritated at him, even to call him an asshole like he usually does. So when Souda saw or rather felt the other’s actions, he couldn’t help but chuckle softly in response.

He couldn’t even mutter a single word before he already had Hianta practically draping himself all over him. Of course not like he was bothered by this in the slightest. Instead of pushing him off or questioning him, his own arms wrapped around his waist, pulling him closer against him.

It really must have been longer then he expected since...he looked much shorter now? Did he really get taller then Hinata?

Before he could even ponder on this further, his thoughts were stopped when he suddenly felt the other’s lips against his own. Caught by surprise, a small flush of red came to his cheeks but still he didn’t pull away. Kazuichi’s lips instead pressed against Hajime’s more, even going as far as to giving him a soft yet careful nibble.

It was Hinata’s birthday and here he was getting a glorious gift instead.
