After having some time to think… I've declared upon myself that I am no longer going to be posting Call of Duty content. I knew when I found myself in a curious worm hole one late day in January… that I'd regret it once I woke up from hyperfixationville. I do not condone war or any propaganda the game endorses throughout it's franchise.
I was relatively new to knowing about COD… still pretty ignorant to the fandoms lore for the past 2-3 decades… but I, myself, am severely anti-war and had only watched the games due to an itch to know more about the series due to curiosity, the art, along with being a chud and wasting my time not getting into literally ANYTHING else. There were plenty of times I found myself uncomfortable… acknowledging issues in the game… and finally declaring I need to step back.
I've been drawing COD in awareness that it's dog shit and I don't actually condone anything done in the game… but I also figured-- everyone's at that stand point? Once more though… with current events-- don't think I want to enjoy it anymore for others getting the wrong idea of me. I reckon this all was just a wakeup call from the month-long hyperfixation that I should've stayed out of it… not caved in no matter how bored I was when I declared to take the plunge…
So thank you for the love on my fanart and posts for the past month… it's helped me and softly inspired me into getting back into art again after being in a rut for the past year. I'll also take new recommendations for not so problematic fandoms to join. Whether it revolves around the same genre or just something you'd rec: game, show, or what have you :) It would be greatly appreciated🙏
