okay here are my (buddie) thoughts about the tv line exclusive for the finale because i have a lot.

1. SO the first time we see buck is in this scene

bobby is debriefing the 118 about the shooter and giving them a rallying speech. everyone else in the scene looks confused or determined, but buck just looks numb, similar to how he looked when eddie was shot

2. then we get a scene of buck carrying eddie into the truck after he gets shot

this means buck, even though he fell to the ground and couldn’t move, was also probably the first to move toward eddie and help to get him to safety

3. THEN we get a voiceover of oliver saying “the finale is going to take things in a direction i don’t think anyone sees coming”

while showing us THIS image

buck is staring directly into eddies eyes and looks like he’s been crying. also this basically confirms eddie is alive so ??

this makes it seem highly likely that the ‘new direction’ has to do with buck and eddies relationship

4. this scene looks like buck is pulling eddie out form under a truck?

again, the scenes are continuing to be very buck and eddie focused

5. we then see buck helping to lift eddie onto the stretcher

still in the same clothes as before. again, he’s right in the action, making sure eddie is going to be okay

6. then we get another clip of oliver

this time saying “it’s gonna set things up for the future of 911 in a whole new way”

??? what could that imply i wonder

7. after this, we get the scene we had in the promo where buck tells chris eddie isn’t coming home

and then immediately afterward we get a scene of buck sobbing into his hands

solidifying just how upset buck is. specifically narrowing in on how eddie getting shot affects buck. just how in the last episode, we saw how buck was viewing eddie getting shot. i cannot reiterate how much they are intertwining their storylines! ana is also not included in the trailer; instead buck is the one to comfort christopher.

i really think that this set up is going to lead to a big change in their relationship next episode.
