thinking about his whole relationship with the healing touch in this supposed au… on one hand i wouldn’t be surprised if he abused it and destroyed his health because of it, but i feel like he would see it as a crutch, something that surgeons who aren’t as skilled use to try and make up for their lacking performance. maybe he used it a lot earlier in his career and developed that way of thinking later on.. he doesn’t like others using it primarily because it makes them seem lesser than, he doesn’t really consider the health effects as a factor towards not using it.. sorry for the ramble
