Trigger Warning!

This is my wife’s page that she was quite active on until recently. She has attempted suicide and in inpatient care for 2 weeks. Her psychiatrist has not filed the necessary papers to get her approved for short term disability even though she has already had the work leave approved (securing her job) and we provided him the papers…3 times! So we have fallen into major debt (looking at a negative bank account). She is going to daily therapy at the hospital and has been diagnosed with Manic Depressive Disorder as well as Social Anxiety Disorder. Please send good thoughts her way and maybe a nice message on here that I can show her. She is a huge supporter of SPN Family. Even if you don’t donate, please reblog so it gets out there. I know the struggles of mental illness combined with financial problems, it is extremely hard to get through without help in these situations and takes a lot of humility to ask for financial help.

OK REAL TALK ABOUT RIVERDALE: I am a hardcore Archie Comics fan and Jughead is my fav character. Cole Sprouse is killing it. BUT the fact that Juggie could have been an advocate for ace people (BECAUSE HES ACE IN CANON) and now that’s blown out of the water has left me disappointed. The show has done a pretty blantant job of being socially conscious and I feel pretty left out as per usual. The whole point of the relationship between Betty and Jughead is suppose to be that Betty is one of the only girls Jughead just flat out is close with, because she’s not after him and doesn’t judge him. If Jughead was to end up with someone it’d certainly be Betty though. Honestly on the show it is pretty adorable and I love them but it’s just too far away from the original essence of Jug and the fact that we could’ve had a great ace character on a TV show makes me really sad.I saw an interview with either a creator or producer that stated part of this series and what makes it new is that they’ve sexualized these kids and put them in the 21st century, but taking a historically ace character and changing their sexuality is just such a let down. And I doubt they are going to stay together in Season Two because what kind of plot would that be if they just had a steady relationship the whole time? (not that I’d mind that, but realistically there’s going to be a breakup-mostly I think because part of Betty’s essence is being in love with Archie). Ok rant over. I do like watching Riverdale.

Jughead is only ace in one version of the comics and that version is only 1 year old. And people have shipped Bughead way before CW’s Riverdale. Betty and Juggie have had many cute interactions throughout the comics and Juggie mentions many times that she would be the girl he’d kiss if any. Plus Juggie is always giving Archie crap for not going after the “right girl” aka Betty. This is sub text in the comics that lends itself to this ship. It may not be endgame, since Kevin literally said “Betty and Archie are endgame” in the pilot, but for now it works. I personally hope they pull a “Dawson’s Creek” and make the girl end up with the main guy’s best friend instead, because I love Bughead.
