but in my mind…they so had their first time on that couch. it’s just so…them. because all her life up until now she’s been in love with the wrong guy. she’s been in love with someone who never loved her back. but she still had that fantasy. that fantasy of her and archie dating for a long time, having exchanged I loves you and then losing their virginity on her bed with music playing and the lights dimmed. her and archie would get married young and have kids and they’d forever be in love. but then she falls in love for real. and it’s raw and messy but it’s so fucking beautiful. and they push each other away to protect one another, they fight because they’re passionate, and they communicate because they love each other and nothing is big enough to come between it. and they had to learn shit the hard way, but it led them back to each other in the end. and after pushing and pulling each other in every direction…they sit down and they talk and he asks her to stay and it’s all she needs to want to bare everything to him. no this isn’t what she planned. no she’s not with archie in her childhood bedroom. what she has is so much better. she climbs into his arms because being apart for another second is unbearable. and they kiss each other so hard their lips will bruise. and he starts pulling her dress off and he probably asks if she wants to go to his bed. because this isn’t what he planned for her either. but she doesn’t care. because she needs him. she needs him now and she’s spent too long being apart from him and she needs him in the closest way possible as soon as possible. and so he eventually lays her gently down, and pinned underneath jughead jones on that hideous couch, they lose their virginity. and you can’t convince me otherwise.
