A good channel ! It helps me a lot during the classes!
In my first post on tumblr I would like to share my first experience at school as a english teacher. First of all, it is important to mention some situations before to decide give up academic projects to take this way. I was having a lots of good experiences at public school through the pibid. I had great professors who guided me during that increasing process. Besides, I felt which was missing something. Maybe do not visit a classe once for week or only to watch. It is complicated noticed some problems and doesn't have control to change the wrong things. I was feeling prepared for something bigger - but I hadn't any idea that was so bigger. In the first moment to assume classes was very hard to me. Elaborate lessons plan, activities, exams, etc. But when I used to the routine I felt more confident and comfortable. In the last class I talked about zoo animal in"Integral 1 and 2" and today I told The ugly duckling story. We create some masks and I gave little "ducks" to them.
Finding essence of writing
The "Finding Forrester" movie beyond to be a beautiful story, the movie give us lessons about writing both in the teacher's role as in the writing learner´s role. To us like teacher or future teachers, the movie presents short learnings according as Forrester, thoroughly, corrects the Jamal´s text and puts comments to help the boy. This reminds me a professor that I know and she has the same method. I confess that I learned much more with her comments and rewriting my texts than if she had just corrected my grammar. When we talk about writers´ role , the movie shows that this practice has no secret! The writing improvement is through writing, writing and rewriting. I opposed the Holder words in his weak and derisively critical, "Finding Forrester" is much more than "shameless male weepies", it is a great lesson to teachers and writing learners.

III Encontro Paraibano de Professores de Inglês.
We all know that to learning a foreign language we need to get involved with it and make it part of our routines. To achieve our goals we have an important tool to help us to keep in touch with language: technology. Online newspapers, games, movies, and music all of it make an incredible difference in our learning. Moreover, applications have been specially designed to make foreign languages a daily reality in learners' life. In this post, I am going to give some general explanations about apps used for me, as distraction and also as a tool to help me in the learning process. The first one is Duolingo. An app very simple, a clean interface. There is a phone version, and also desktop version. As for the mobile option, you have the possibility of training reading, writing, listening (through vocabulary and grammar lessons, generally about some specific topic) and also, speaking. You can interact with other students in comments section, to understand how and why that answer is how it is. You can follow and be followed by other Duos and there is a ranking, a kind of competition. You can learn various idioms and switch between them. Also, the application settings can be altered to alert you according with to disposition to learn 10, 20, 30 or 50 questions a day! The desktop version is more complete: you can practice the lesson, there's the possibility to get "coins" by how fast you are doing the lesson. There are also some extra sections: "Interaction" (you can exchange experience with other Learners), "Immersion" (you can translate and revise by yourself or in collaboration, actual documents that are on the internet and also submit some document to be translated). It is really fun to use it. You can either translate a Edgar Allan Poe poem or an apple pie recipe. All articles are selected based on the user preferences. I hope you all have enjoyed it. Next post, I will talk about the "Memrise". See you o/ #learning #ErivaniaAlves

A picture from my first day at Frei Afonso, I had a great time there, with them, it was my first class, so they were a bit shy, me as well but we quite enjoy it! Because our workshops are in English, some of them are not self-confident to speak English, and we have to try to motivate them by giving positive feedbacks, Jailine and I having a conversation, for example, modeling it is important to build confidence. It is challenging for us as teachers, keep them motivated and grab their attention. However, make us improve ourselves through our class, classes, for me, is a sharing, students and teachers are the same, we build our knowledge together, I read a quote on facebook yesterday and fits here: When one teaches, two learn - Robert Heinlein I have learned a lot in this short time as a teacher, and for the first time, I think I'm on the right road, only planning a lesson, we can discover how amazing would be a part of this world, teachers world!

Braille is not a language!!!!
What Is Braille? -> Braille is a system of raised dots that can be read with the fingers by people who are blind or who have low vision;
What Does Braille Look Like? -> Braille symbols are formed within units of space known as braille cells. A full braille cell consists of six raised dots arranged in two parallel rows each having three dots;
Contracted braille (Our contraction) -> Is the system of cells used individually or in combination with others to form a variety of contractions or whole words, for example, these "short cuts" are used to reduce the volume of paper needed for reproducing books in braille and to make the reading process easier.
