I so hate this situation! Nennella's owner Walter Bocchetti left her with a friend while he went to work because she doesn't like being alone and she jumped the fence because she went after him, not because she was trying to get away! Yes, she wasn't chipped and he admits his mistake with that, but the only reason she wasn't collared was because she was at home at the time and no one expected for this to happen.
If you think that a person who is a loving dog owner of four years deserves to have their dog taken away from them because they weren't microchipped, I don't know what to tell you. He acknowledges that she should've been microchipped, but Walter is still suffering and he only wants Nennella back. And the family who she was rehomed to?
They found out soon after that she was somebody else's dog and you know what they did? Said she's their dog now and have refused to give her back ever since. Refused to even talk to Walter. It's been years. She was with them just a short time and they refused to do it, traumatizing her, her ACTUAL owner and probably themselves/their kids. It's horrible. I couldn't imagine.
A London dog owner is fighting to get his beloved pet dog returned after she was wrongly rehomed.
I've been in his Facebook group for years. This has absolutely destroyed him both mentally and financially. He's still fighting for Nennella, but he's also been a target of vicious online trolls who tell him he deserved this and that he deserves to suffer.
I keep trying to put myself in his shoes. My dogs are microchipped, and they never go out without a collar, but I still worry so much about them being stolen, lost, it's my greatest fear. I also am trying to put myself into the shoes of the family who rehomed her and keep thinking I'd never be able to live with myself knowing I'm doing something so cruel to anyone else.
He finally managed to fight for a court order to find the identities of the 'new owners' because they were hiding behind their anonymity up until this point. This is just a horrible situation altogether. I've been following it ever since they refused to even communicate with him and his despair is crushing.

Growing is not a linear process.
The path is never straight, it is curved, with mountains.
Sometimes you need to go back to a completely different path.
There are many different ways, it is hard to chose one.
Paths whose terrain is often difficult to traverse.
You walk in a circle and it seems like there is no end - like a dog catching its tail.
It is okay to be afraid, to be overwhelmed.
It is okay to need time.
Every path, every intersection, every mountain, every terrain is full of experiences that will make you grow.
If you don't know what to do next, look back at the mountains, the crossroads you have already overcome.
The ways you've already walked.
It's not about who can climb the next mountain super fast, everyone has different paths - they can not be compared.
It's not a race, not a competition.
Step by step at your own speed.
Don't forget that every step, no matter how small, is valuable.
Take a deep breath, take breaks from walking, and be proud of yourself.
You have time, you allready walked so much ❤.

spring!!!
This is Marty, my 5 (6 in February!) year old terrier mix. We did a Wisdom panel on him for my dad's birthday last year, and Marty is half Staffie, supposedly a quarter Boston, 12.5% chow, and the rest is a smattering of little white dogs. He is a cuckoo banana man, and the best boy!
Reo lovin'the beach life
i taught her up a while ago and sometimes if she knows i have treats but am not giving them she just randomly jumps on the nearest surface
A lean, mean 10 year old. Shy's looking good for his age!
My sweet shy girl Shylee 3yrs old
Sometimes her ears vanish and she looks like a seal instead of a shark
