Previous post answering an anon disclosed tracer's real name that, after a conversation, has been requested to be removed. She will be tagged/referred to as Allen moving forward.
she also traced the following pictures from this drawing meme
there are definitely more artists effected over time, too, but i haven't been able to find the artists and dont want to just... share it without their knowledge.
again, i do not want anyone to reach out to her, please dont interact with her outside of blocking her.
In early 2018, I received notice from a good (online) samaritan that someone was tracing my art and claiming it as their own.
In the immediate, I was stunned and hurt by the extend in which the person stole my work. It spanned from private little doodles I did under "read mores" on my personal blog to some of my silliest responses on the ask blogs I ran at the time.
She was clearly a beginner artist, so I tried to squash my hurt and turn it into something more constructive. I reached out to her on her Google+ account, I tried to level with her on a personal level, provided resources for how to better herself as an artist, acknowledging that tracing can be great for practice, but it should not be claimed as your own work.
She blocked me and continued to claim my work as her own.
She was a minor at the time, so I imagined she was scared. It sucks to be called out on your mistakes, no matter your age. It sucks to admit you were wrong, that you hurt someone. I thought that was her worry.
A few friends, upset on my behalf, posted a few comments on posts with traced work to link back to my art instead. These were deleted, their accounts blocked. We all backed off for a bit, hoping she would take some time to reflect, find her own style. In the interim, I stopped posting new art.
With Google+ coming to an end, she dropped some links. Instagram, DeviantArt, ArtFight, etc. Turned out she had been tracing my work for longer than anyone realized! She posted about submitting a portfolio to a college for a scholarship, won prizes in her senior year of high school for stolen art turned into posters for the school, had begun trying to sell traced work on Red Bubble and was in the talks of opening commissions. She had traced my art for 2017 ArtFight attacks, created an ask blog on DeviantArt that straight lifted from ask blogs of my own. She had traced gifts I'd drawn for people, turning it into her characters. She had changed characters of color into white characters, made fat characters thin, turned drawings of queer couples into straight couples.
DeviantArt and ArtFight were the best when it came to getting the accounts down. Both were swift with their bans. Instagram couldn't care less, but really, who was surprised?
I had to assume she had a personal Tumblr account given how much access she had to my art posted solely on Tumblr. Never did get a lead until recently (and it looks like she changed the name or deleted it.)
Near the end of the year, I found her on Facebook. She was no longer a minor. I tried pleading with her one last time, begged her to delete my work and please never trace from me again. By that point, I had stopped drawing all together and was at my lowest artistic confidence. Ask blogs were quit, art blog on stand still, sketch books untouched. I just wanted her to forget that I ever existed, that my art ever existed. I tried leveling with her again. I'm a real fucking person, this is how you've hurt me, here are resources to better yourself as an artist!
She gave my message a thumbs down and claimed to have deleted my work. Then, expectedly, she blocked me.
I had hoped that the nightmare was over, that I would fall back in love with drawing and art, but that love didn't hit me until late 2023 and has been a struggle to maintain.
As of 10/20/2025, I have spoken with this person and she has requested I do not use her real name. I am respecting this wish and will be proceeding with a pseudonym, Allen.
Allen was back on ArtFight and DeviantArt as of 2024. She never left Instagram, but has gone through name changes and sits in perpetual private status. Her art still has echoes of what she stole from me. But I was also not her only source of work to trace-- there were definitely others that I didn't recognize.
I have spent the last five years unwilling to call her out for all that she's done in the hopes that she would change. After reviewing her ArtFight, I know now that she has no interest in changing, no interest in apologizing or even feeling like she should apologize. She hides her art not out of shame-- she hides it because she doesn't want to get caught. She's never actually put the work in for her art, she's only ever taken the hard work of others and slapped her sloppy name over it. She's not directly lifting from me anymore, but I feel confident that she is "base bashing" at the very least. She does not credit any of the bases or references.
I am working to love creating again. Part of this process is releasing the burden of what she's done to me and lay the blame where is rightfully should be: on Allen.
I am going to share some of her links here so anyone interested can block her. I just want people to be able to protect their art from her. Myself and at least one other has reported Allen to ArtFight but have yet to hear a response from them, she was able to participate through the 2025 ArtFight, unfortunately.
Allen's ArtFight: Here
Allen's Instagram: Here
Allen's DeviantArt: Here
Allen's TikTok: (username is ya01lvr but the link isn't working and if I post just the link it @'s someone on tumblr that is not her!)
I don't think she monitor's my blog anymore, but if she does, I imagine she will be changing her usernames again. I will likely no longer be able to track her after this but that's probably for the best.
So, anyway: Fuck off, Allen. I wish you nothing but the worst but still hope no one ever does to you what you've done to me and other artists.
