Physical description: Golden blonde hair that reaches her shoulder blades. The right side of her head is shaved and most of her hair is dyed red save for about four inches of roots, not in a straight line but more jagged and blended through that area. Solidly white but is tanned, she goes outside a lot. Shes covered in freckles. Dark green eyes, square jaw. Shes very tall, 6′7, and kinda buff. Scars on her right forearm, hips, and thighs from self harm. Wide shoulders, thin hips. Not very curvy but could probably crush someone with her thighs. has two piercings on both of her lower ears and then a bunch of rings and studs in the cartilage only on her right ear. Personality: Very kind to her friends, loyal to a fault. Shes very easy to take advantage of because shes so trusting. If you hurt her she probably thinks she deserves it but if you hurt one of her friends she goes apeshit. Shes broken a few noses in her day. She has issues with depression and anxiety but manages to hide it pretty well from everyone.

feedback culture has rly died on here for content creators tbh

Gradually, it’s been declining, but i feel that right around the 1st few months of this year is when it rly took a huge plunge

Not only have i noticed this w my own art and stuff, but a lot of friends who create stuff have noted similar things. even popular artists and writers who used to get 5k+ notes per post are only getting a couple hundred. I used to get abt 800 per post and now im lucky if i break 50. 90% likes to 10% rbs.

Ppl say u shouldnt create just for the attention but damn spending HOURS on smth and getting little to no feedback when u used to get a decent amount is shit

I was hesitant to reblog this because I didn’t want it to look like I was begging for attention or something, but this is pretty real, guys. 

Seeing tags, knowing people really are interested and want others to see your stuff too, it keeps your spirits up when you’re unsure of your work. All types of artists are obviously thrilled and grateful to receive likes, but feedback is essential on a social platform and for growth.

I get kudos on my work, but feedback is rare and it is what so many live off of. It’s a huge moral boost to even see something as simple as “good job!” or “I love it!”. It doesn’t need to be an essay of what you like, or don’t like, about a story. Just a little something to show you liked it, or tips on how to improve. It’s all welcomed and loved.

my favorite thing to do after reading a work/seeing great art/etc is to (usually anonymously just for fun :D) jump in the creator’s ask and just scream about how much i liked it. it takes about thirty seconds and really brightens their day

I recently posted some art on my art blog that right now has almost 600 notes, a good 200ish being reblogs. I go and check every single reblog, and so far only about 7 have actually tagged anything. Any sort of tags or feedback to make content feel worth creating is so important! Artists check tags!!! And it makes us so happy to see people tagging it, even if it’s just to say ‘I like the colors’ or anything random like that. It makes it feel worthwhile

Physical description: Brown, slightly wavy hair that reaches just past his shoulder blades. Worn in a braid, a messy bun, or down. Green eyes that look like a forest, light brown skin, 5′1, small and lithe, graceful looking, looks like a twink honestly. He wears round glasses, rims and arms are silver colored. 

Personality: 

Age 16-18: Reserved and quiet but tries to be kind, tries to avoid conflict or yelling, rarely speaks unless spoken to first. 

Age 19-21: Literally a ray of fucking sunshine. Very smile-y and extremely kind to anyone he meets. Is that person who will make your day if you talk to them, he’s just that pleasant to talk to. Sometimes he breaks down and he drinks alone in his bathroom until he blacks out.

Sexuality: gay

Voice: On the higher end, slightly scratchy. Has a little bit of an accent but only on certain words. 

Back story: His birth parents were drug addicts. They were a happy family until when Castor was six, when his father died of an overdose. His mother blamed him and started beating him, he didn’t understand what was happening. He was lucky and got taken away by CPS after some neighbors reported her. He went into foster care and bounced around from place to place. Some homes were better than others, he encountered more abuse at some. Ended up in an abusive home for a year before he was taken back. Bounced around some more, ending up with a lovely elderly couple. They were the Johnsons and they loved Castor to no end. He actually opened up to them and they helped him a lot. They were going to adopt him and they went out for dinner to celebrate. On their way home it was raining and they got t-boned by a drunk driver. The Johnsons died and Castor lived although he suffered multiple broken bones. He got out of that system as soon as he could after that and went and lived on his own.

Likes: plants, flowers, bugs, cats, watercolors, sweaters

Dislikes: drugs, loud noises (like shouting or people banging on things. he loves thunderstorms), violence, blood.
